Since more than a decade, because of the economic crisis, and bad governance, social conditions are getting worse.
Hospitals lack of medecines, schools are abandonned, no teachers, nor minimum equipment. This specific situation was
the case in the centre for child Academic drilling school in Bamenda. A social institution aiming to educate both youths
and adults in a permanent education system. At the beginning of the school year, there were no desks. Students could
not sit comfortably, nor study well. Members of the CCAD noticed that problem, which was clearly indifical: to provide
desks for students. Parents and staff members were asked to give their financial contribution. A joiner was contacted. He
gave the cost of the work.
A treering committy was set up for the efficiency of the action. The first contributions gave a total of CFA F: 500.000,
which was not sufficient, but helped to purchase some tasks. It is true that the work was not done as members wanted it
to be, however the problem was partially solved. The reality is that, despite their will, people did not have money. They
could not give their contributions on time, and the fixed amount. The effort done is good, and the number of students at
the beginning of the school class now is 25 adults students. People are optimisely working and learning conditions are
needed.
COMMENTAIRES : the mobilization done doesn't correspond to the reality. The situation itself is a consequence of
directive planning approach. If it was not the case, that is if every body was involved, the desks problem will have not
happened. The will of doing something must not throw aside, the necessity of doing it well. A good planification can solve
half of this one.
