Lucie Aubrac
Lucie Aubrac was born on June, 29th 1912 in Paris.
Her birthname was Bernard.
She became a history teacher in1938.
She got married with Raymond Aubrac ( born Raymond
Samuel but he changed his name to avoid German nazi
persecution) because he is a Jew) and they had two
daughters and a son.
In August 1940 she organised an operation.
She managed to free her husband who was in prison in
Lyon.She continued the resistance movement with her
husband.
After the war, she worked as a school teacher.
From 2000 on, she and her husband met children in schools
to talk about the war and the resistance movement.
She died on March, 14th 2007.

Son nom de jeune fille était Bernard.
Elle devient professeur en 1938.
Elle s'est ensuite mariée avec Raymond Aubrac (il nait sous le
nom de Samuel mais il doit le changer pour éviter les
persécutions nazies car il est Juif) et ils ont deux filles et un
garçon.
En août 1940, elle organise une opération.
Elle réussit à libérer son mari Raymond qui est en prison à
Lyon. Elle continue la résistance avec son mari.
Après la guerre, elle est reprend son métier d' enseignante.
A partir de l'année 2000, ils vont à la rencontre d'enfants dans
les écoles pour leur parler de la guerre et de la résistance.
Elle décède le 14 Mars 2007.
