PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING
Draft Land Use Planning and Development Plan
of the urban agglomeration of Montréal
At its meeting of September 18, 2014, the urban agglomeration council adopted the draft Land Use Planning
and Development Plan (draft by-law P-RCG 14-029, titled « Règlement modifiant le règlement concernant le
schéma d’aménagement de l’ancienne communauté urbaine de Montréal (89 modifié) ») and mandated the
standing committee on the Land Use Planning and Development Plan to hold a public consultation meeting.
The draft plan covers the main orientations that will provide the framework for the land use planning and
development of the urban agglomeration territory over the upcoming years. Those orientations namely pertain
to the quality of life, the dynamic nature of the urban agglomeration and the activity poles, the development of
territories of interest, the land-use designation and the density of its occupation.
The public consultation meeting will be held in three parts. The first will be information sessions held in October,
and will be intended for the presentation of the Land Use Planning and Development Plan by the Direction de
l’urbanisme, as well as for public questions. The second part will be the hearing of opinions, to be held in
November. The adoption of recommendations by the committee will be the object of the third part.
Committee members extend the invitation to citizens and representatives of organizations to participate in these
public consultation meetings, scheduled to take place as follows:

ACCESSIBILITY
Meeting venues are accessible to persons with reduced mobility. Moreover, an interpretation service for
persons with a hearing disability may be available, if requested from the Service du greffe 5 days prior to the
meeting, subject to the availability of interpreters.
Citizens and organization representatives who wish to speak during the public question and comment period
should register during the 30 minutes preceding each meeting, or contact the Direction du greffe as of today.
Please note that registration is not required in order to attend public meetings. Only those wishing to speak
need register.
