General description
Studii şi cercetări de onomastică şi lexicologie/ Studies and Research in
Onomastics and Lexicology (SCOL), an annual publication since 2008, continues the
tradition of onomastics research at the University of Craiova, research initiated by the
late Professor Gheorghe Bolocan, who was the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Studies
and Research in Onomastics (1995-2003).
As constant fields of interest for linguists, onomastics and lexicology reflect
the unity and diversity of language, both synchronically and diachronically. In SCOL,
the two domains are delimitated, although their interference is often obvious.
The journal contains articles, book reviews and presentations, thus offering the
opportunity for Romanian as well as foreign philologists (researchers, teachers,
doctoral and master’s students) to highlight onomastic and lexicological issues in the
European space. Under the heading Academica, one can find updated information on
national and international scientific events, on topics related to onomastics, lexicology
and terminology. Under the heading Recent Publications, readers can find out the latest
publications in these domains, as well as in related fields.
Following the CNCS evaluation process in December 2012, the SCOL journal
was ranked as a class B journal.
Instructions for authors
The manuscript must be written in both Romanian and a foreign language (English
or French). Authors from Romania or the Republic of Moldova will send the material in
Romanian and a foreign language. Both versions will be submitted for evaluation.
Foreign authors will submit their contributions in English or French.
Publication requirements as follows:
Title − font size 14, bold.
Name of author, affiliation and e-mail address − font size 12, bold, right.
Body of paper − font size 12, paper size A4, font Times New Roman; line
spacing 1.5; footnotes, font size 10.
The abstract and five key words must be written in both English and French.
The articles of authors from Romania and the Republic of Moldova will have
the abstract and five key words in Romanian as well.
Bibliography instructions:
Books
Author’s name and surname, title of work (in italics), publication place,
publishing house, year. For instance:
Bidu-Vrănceanu, Angela, Lexicul specializat în mişcare. De la dicţionare la

Author’s name and surname, title of article (in italics), title of journal (between

The period for article submission is February, 01-28, current year. The papers

Déscription générale
Studii şi cercetări de onomastică şi lexicologie (SCOL) est une revue à
apparition annuelle, depuis 2008, qui s’inscrit dans la tradition des recherches
d’onomastique de l’Université de Craiova, initiées par le regretté professeur
universitaire Gheorghe Bolocan, qui a dirigé la revue Studii şi cercetări de onomastică
(1995-2003).
Domaines d’intérêt permanent pour les linguistes, l’onomastique et la
lexicologie reflètent l’unité de la langue et la diversité, en synchronie et en diachronie.
Dans la revue SCOL, les deux domaines sont délimités, bien que leur interférence soit
visible en maintes situations.
Par des articles, commentaires et présentations de livres, la revue offre la
possibilité aux philologues roumains et étrangers (chercheurs, professeurs, doctorands
et masters) de faire valoir les aspects d’onomastique et de lexicologie de l’espace
européen. La rubrique Academica présente des informations d’actualité sur les
manifestations scientifiques nationales et internationales, sur des thèmes d’onomastique,
de lexicologie et de terminologie. Sous l’intitulé Apparitions éditoriales récentes les
lecteurs peuvent être informés des dernières publications de ces domaines ou des
domaines connexes.
Après l’évaluation du CNCS de décembre 2012, la revue SCOL est classée
dans la catégorie B.
Information aux auteurs
Le manuscrit doit être rédigé obligatoirement en roumain et en anglais ou en
français. Les auteurs de Roumanie et de la République de Moldavie doivent envoyer le
matériel en roumain et en français/anglais. Les deux variantes seront soumises à
l’évaluation.
Les auteurs étrangers transmettront leurs articles en anglais ou en français.
Les exigences de rédaction sont les suivantes:
Titre − corps 14, bold.
Nom de l’auteur, de l’institution et l’adresse électronique − corps 12, bold,
droite.
Texte − corps 12, format A4, caractères Times New Roman; interlignes 1.5;
note de bas de page, corps 10.
Le résumé et les cinq mots-clés en roumain également.
