Polentaranta, un nome che evoca la fusione tra le culture del nord e del sud Italia. Il progetto nasce infatti dall’unione di
due musicisti incontratisi in alcune jam-session di musica tradizionale.
Francesco Savino, tamburellista e liutaio salentino e Andrea Capezzuoli, organettista milanese, grazie alle loro origini
musicali differenti e “lontane”, creano un sound unico, energico, travolgente. Sibilia Colonna e Valeria Sallustio,
insegnanti di danza tradizionale, immergono il pubblico nella dimensione della festa, dove il ballo assume un ruolo
centrale.
Una sinergia nuova, complice, che ha lo scopo di presentare le tante sfaccettature della musica folk italiana ed europea
cominciando dalla terra diventata famosa per “la taranta”: la Puglia.
Un progetto che unisce quindi danze e musiche del sud Italia (pizziche, tarantelle, tammurriate, stornelli) e danze europee
(circoli, chapellioses, bourrées, rondeaux, scottish, mazurke) per un ballo travolgente e trascinante.

The project in fact was born from the union of two musician who met during traditional music jamsessions.

feast atmosphere, where dance plays a central role.

The project joints together dances and music from the South of Italy(pizziche, tarantelle,
tammurriate, stornelli) and European dances (circles, chapelloises, bourrées, rondeaux, scottish,
mazurkas) for an overwhelming and captivating dance.

traditionnelle, plongent le public dans la dimension de la fête, où la
danse joue un rôle central. Une synergie nouvelle, complice, qui a le
balai de présenter tant de sfaccettature de la musique folk italienne et
européen en commençant de la terre devenue célèbre pour « la
taranta » : les Pouilles. Un project qu'il unit donc des dances et des
