What is Luffa Anatto?
Luffa is a member of the Cucurbitaceae
family. Its fruits contain a skeleton made
of hard fibbers. Lessonia processes it to
get an exfoliating powder remarkable by
the homogeneity of its particles. Annatto
is a small tree from Amazonia. The fruits
produce bixin, a natural pigment which
has long been used by the amazonian
indians to make body paints, especially
for the lips.
Qu’est ce que le Luffa Anatto?
Le luffa est un plante appartenant à la
famille des Cucurbitacées. Son fruit
contient un squelette fibreux. Lessonia le
transforme pour obtenir une poudre
exfoliante remarquable par l’homogénéité
de ses particules. L’annatto est un
arbuste d’Amazonie dont les fruits
produisent la bixine, un pigment naturel
utilisé par les indiens pour des peintures
corporelles et le maquillage des lèvres.
Luffa 30 W Annatto GreenExfoliator
is a soft exfoliator sterilised with a
thermal process and coloured with
Annatto. It can be used in an
organic formulation as a vegetal
ingredient. This 100% natural
powder is made of small fibbers
homogeneous in size and allowing
an accurate and soft exfoliation.

In order to comply with the regulation of
the
organic
cosmetic
products,
Lessonia has invested in a new
process. Gamma ray treatments which
had been banned by all the standards
of natural and organic cosmetic
products are not anymore used.
The technology used had been
specifically developed for cosmetics. It
permits to reduce the micro-organisms
population at a very low level that is
adapted to the strong requirements of
the cosmetic industry.

procédé présentent un taux de microorganismes très faible (bactéries,
levures, moisissures) compatible avec
les besoins de la cosmétique.
