What has changed?
Qu'est-ce qui a changé?
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has a
requirement for the provision of urinalysis services
on an “as and when requested” basis and authorized
through the issuance of “Drug Testing Chain of
Custody” form, within the parameters specified in
the Resulting Contract.
Le Service correctionnel du Canada (SCC) requiert la
prestation, au besoin, de services d’analyse d’urine
autorisés sur présentation du formulaire « Analyse
d’urine – Chaîne de possession », selon les paramètres
établis dans le contrat subséquent.
The testing is focused on specific drug classes and
other substances - upon specific request - that are
subject to abuse by inmates and offenders. The
testing must be conducted in accordance with the
United States Health and Human Services (HHS),
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration (referred as SAMHSA) "Mandatory
Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing
Programs", in order to achieve a maximum level of
effectiveness and accuracy.
Les analyses visent essentiellement le dépistage –
lorsqu'une demande est faite en ce sens – de certaines
catégories de drogues et d'autres substances qui sont
susceptibles d'être consommées par les détenus et les
délinquants. Pour une efficacité et une précision
maximales, les analyses doivent être faites
conformément aux Mandatory Guidelines for Federal
Workplace Drug Testing Programs de la Substance
Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
(SAMHSA), Health and Human Services (HHS), des
États-Unis.
Changes refer to a requirement to conduct additional
screening tests for ecstasy (MDMA) and heroin, and
to decrease the cut-off levels for amphetamines and
cocaine.
Les modifications concernent l’obligation de procéder à
des analyses additionnelles pour l’ecstasy (MDMA) et
l’héroïne, ainsi que la diminution des seuils de
concentration fixés pour les amphétamines et la
cocaïne.

The need for technical amendments is a result of
new requirements following the recent publication
by SAMHSA of a Final Notice of Revisions to its
Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug
Testing Programs.
Ces modifications font suite aux nouvelles exigences
découlant de l’avis final qui a récemment été publié par
la SAMHSA et qui fait état des révisions apportées aux
Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug
Testing Programs.

reflected in the Annex A of the Commissioner’s

Price per urine sample will increase slightly for all
urine-based testing panels and will take effect on
October 1, 2010. Contracts have been adjusted to
reflect the new costs.
Le coût de chaque analyse d’échantillon d’urine
augmentera légèrement à compter du 1er octobre 2010.
Les marchés ont fait l’objet d’ajustements afin de
refléter les nouveaux coûts.
