Entre Grads et Coiron
La commune d’Alissas est placée entre les
collines calcaires des Grads et les pentes
basaltiques du Coiron, à l’entrée d’une
gorge étroite.
Le vieux village rénové est traversé par la rue
Royale (ex-route Royale 124 et voie
Romaine), avec ses 3 ponceaux sur le
torrent Combier et ses vestiges d’échoppes,
son ancien Lavoir rénové, ses vieilles
ruelles, ses jardins et leurs puits.
L’église rénovée, le viaduc et logo
de la commune sont illuminés le
soir.
Le cœur du Village s’est déplacé
vers la salle polyvalente, la mairie,
la médiathèque, l’aire de jeux, très
attractifs, les places des Platanes
et des Erables, leurs commerces et services
très actifs.
Dominant toute la vallée, Notre Dame des
Roches permet d’avoir une vue panoramique (table d’orientation) sur les Boutières,
la vallée de La Payre, du Rhône, le Vercors et
ses 3 Becs.

Between Les Grads and Coiron
The small town of Alissas is located between the
limestone hills of Les Grads and the basaltic slopes of
Coiron, right at the entrance of a narrow gorge.
The renovated village features the “Rue Royale” (an
ancient roman way), with its 3 culverts overlooking the
torrent of Combier and its ancient ruins, fountain,
gardens and wells. The church and the viaducts, the
symbol of the village, are illuminated at night.
The heart and life of the village have now moved to the
communal hall, the Town Hall (mairie), the public library,
the playground, the two squares of Platanes and
Erables, with their many shops and lively amenities.
Overlooking the valley of Alissas, stands the statue of
Notre-Dame-des-Roches, from which you can admire a
panoramic view of the Boutieres, the valley of the Payre,

mountains of Vercors and
their three peaks (“les 3
Becs”).
