IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
IF YOU ARE UNSURE OR UNABLE TO ASSEMBLE THIS CEILING LAMP, PLEASE CONSULT A
QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
WE RECOMMEND THAT THIS CEILING LAMP BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
1. Shut off the power supply at the main fuse box or circuit breaker.
2. Carefully unpack all the lamp parts and hardware and lay them on a clean work
surface.
3. Place the mounting plate “B” over the centre of the ceiling junction box “A”.
4. Align the holes in the mounting plate with the holes in the junction box and attach with 2
mounting screws “C”. Secure the screws with a screwdriver.
5. Gently pull the wiring down from the ceiling junction box and allow it to hang.
6. Carefully inspect the wires of the ceiling lamp and of the ceiling junction box.
7. Attach the “hot” (+) wire (marked as “L” on the wire) of the ceiling lamp to the black hot
wire of the junction box. Secure them together with a wire cap “D” and wrap the
connection with electrical tape.
8. Attach the neutral (-) wire (the one with white wire inside and marked as “N” on the wire)
of the ceiling lamp to the white neutral wire of the junction box. Secure them together
with a wire cap “D” and wrap the connection with electrical tape.
9. Attach the ground wire (the one with green wire inside and marked as “G” on the wire)
and the copper ground wire from the canopy (marked as “
” besides of the wire) of
the ceiling lamp to the ground wire of the junction box. Secure them together with a
wire cap “D” and wrap the connection with electrical tape. If your outlet has no ground
wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture ground wire to the green screw on the
mounting plate “B”.
10. Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections or safety will be compromised.
11. Gently tuck the wire connections neatly into the ceiling junction box.
12. Push the canopy up over the mounting plate “B” until it is aligned with the ceiling. Align
the holes in the canopy with the holes in the mounting plate “B” and secure with 2
canopy screws “E”.
13. Using the lamp ring “I”, fasten the glass shade “H” onto the socket. Then adjust the
metal rings “G” in suitable different positions (see the diagram on the first page).
14. Insert one standard Type A bulb, maximum 60W (not included).
15. Restore power to the junction box and test fixture.
16. The minimum distance between the canopy and the lampshade must be 4 inches (100
mm).
17. This ceiling lamp can be used with a dimmer switch.

INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ IMPORTANTES :
EN CAS DE DOUTE, OU SI VOUS ÊTES INCAPABLE D’ASSEMBLER CETTE LAMPE SUSPENDUE,
VEUILLEZ CONSULTER UN ÉLECTRICIEN QUALIFIÉ.
NOUS RECOMMANDONS QUE L’INSTALLATION DE CETTE LAMPE SUSPENDUE SOIT EFFECTUÉE
PAR UN ÉLECTRICIEN AGRÉÉ.
1. Coupez l’alimentation en électricité à partir de la boîte à fusibles principale ou du
disjoncteur.
2. Retirez avec soin toutes les pièces de la lampe et la quincaillerie de l’emballage ;
déposez les articles sur un espace de travail dégagé.
3. Placez la plaque de fixation (B) au-dessus du centre de la boîte de jonction du plafond
(A).
4. Alignez les trous de la plaque de fixation avec les trous de la boîte de jonction et
fixez-les en place à l’aide de deux vis de fixation (C). Serrez-les à l’aide d’un tournevis.
5. Tirez doucement vers le bas les fils de la boîte de jonction du plafond et laissez-les
pendre.
6. Inspectez avec soin les fils de la lampe suspendue et ceux de la boîte de jonction du
plafond.
7. Raccordez le fil positif (+) de la lampe suspendue (de couleur noire et marqué d’un « L »)
au fil positif (+) de la boîte de jonction. Maintenez-les en place à l’aide d’un capuchon de
connexion (D) et entourez la connexion de ruban isolant.
8. Raccordez le fil neutre (-) de la lampe suspendue (de couleur blanche et marqué d’un
« N ») au fil neutre (-) de la boîte de jonction. Maintenez-les en place à l’aide d’un
capuchon de connexion (D) et entourez la connexion de ruban isolant.
9. Raccordez le fil de mise à la terre de la lampe suspendue (de couleur verte et marqué
d’un « G ») et le fil de mise à la terre en cuivre de la monture (marqué d’un « ») au fil de
mise à la terre de la boîte de jonction. Maintenez-les en place à l’aide d’un capuchon de
connexion (D) et entourez la connexion de ruban isolant. S’il n’y a pas de fil de mise à la
terre dans la boîte de jonction (fil vert ou de cuivre nu), raccordez le fil de mise à la terre de
la monture à la vis verte de la plaque de fixation (B).
10. N’inversez pas les connexions du fil positif (+) et du fil neutre (-) au risque de créer une
situation dangereuse.
11. Replacez les connexions avec soin dans la boîte de jonction du plafond.
12. Remontez la monture jusqu’à ce qu’elle recouvre la plaque de fixation (B) au plafond.
Alignez les trous de la monture avec les trous de la plaque de fixation (B) et fixez-les à l’aide
de deux vis pour la monture (E).
13. Installez l’abat-jour en verre (H) sur la douille et maintenez-le en place à l’aide de la
bague de fixation (I). Puis, ajustez les anneaux métalliques (G) en différentes positions
adéquates (voir le diagramme de la page 1).
14. Insérez une ampoule standard de type A, maximum 60 W (non comprise).
15. Rétablissez le courant de la boîte de jonction et vérifiez si le luminaire fonctionne.
16. La distance entre la monture et l’abat-jour doit être au minimum de 4 pouces (100
mm).
17. L’intensité de l’éclairage peut être réglée au moyen d’un gradateur de lumière.
