Québec’s national parks
204
Québec has 28 national parks distributed
throughout its territory,from Abitibi-Témiscamingue
to the far reaches of the Gaspésie. A number are
located near major urban centers. With their
different locations, topographies, plants, and
wildlife, each park possesses a unique personality
and offers an astonishing variety of landscapes and
natural and historic sites.
All of the parks feature top quality equipment,
infrastructures, hiking trails, and picnic areas.
Nature guides offer nature discovery activities, and
in most parks recreational and sporting equipment
is available for rent.
The following table indicates the main outdoor
activities at each park. They provide an opportunity
for visitors to relax and reenergize in a protected
natural environment while respecting the integrity
of the local ecosystems.
Note: An entrance fee is charged at all parks, except
Gatineau Park.
