Le groupe: Créé en 1978, ce groupe suisse devint célèbre dans le monde progressif avec son premier album, “At
king” (FGBG4017 AR.) en 1985. le second, « Vision in the dark », paru en 1987, connut un retentissement
considérable (FGBG 4152 AR.). Deyss a réussi, à un moment où la production progressive était très réduite, à
reprendre le flambeau d’ un prog’ fidèle à l’esprit des années 70.
L’album : « Dragonfly from the sun » est un recueil des premières compositions de Deyss, fruit d’un
enregistrement « live » de 1979. Un livret très fourni nous apprend tout sur la genèse du groupe, et les amateurs
reconnaîtront sans peine, en germe mais déjà présent, le style de Deyss, alors encore instrumental, proche des
ténors des années 70 (Camel, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Yes,…) . Voilà qui aidera à attendre le prochain album, prévu
pour cette année…

The band: created during the seventies, this swiss band became famous in the progressive world with its first
album “At king” (FGBG 4017 AR.) in 1985; the second one, “Vision in the dark”, (FGBG 4152 AR.) was a
huge success (in 1987). Deyss succeeded in creating a personal progressive music outside Great Britain in a
moment when the progressive production was reduced.
The album: “Dragonfly from the sun” is a collection of early tracks by Deyss, composed during the seventies and
recorded (live) in 1979. A huge booklet tells us all about Deyss’ history, and all the fans will recognize Deyss’
style, made of bombastic arrangements, faithful to the spirit of the 70’s progressive music (Camel, Genesis, Yes,
Pink Floyd,…), with beautiful dialogues between guitars and keyboards. It will help us to wait the next Deyss
album, later this year…
