TRAVAUX SCIENTIFIQUES ACTIVITES DE RECHERCHE: FAITS MARQUANTS - Mise en évidence des substrats neuronaux sous-tendant les contrôles inhibiteurs diffus induits par stimulation nociceptive (CIDN), par des approches électrophysiologiques et anatomiques. - Mise en évidence d'un nouveau centre bulbaire d'intégration nociceptive: le Subnucleus Reticularis Dorsalis. - Mise au point des techniques de traçage antéro- et rétrograde, d’une technique de prise d'images numériques qui permet de reconstruire l'ensemble de processus neuronaux localisés au sein d'une coupe histologique. - Mise en évidence d’un relais thalamique qui véhicule l’information nociceptive de l’ensemble de la surface corporelle au néocortex : le noyau ventromédian latéral. - Application des techniques d’enregistrement et marquage juxtacellulaire et des techniques d’enregistrement multi-unitaire, multi-sites, pour l’étude des réseaux nociceptifs thalamo-corticaux. - Mise en évidence de l'architecture fonctionnelle des systèmes issus du cortex somatosensoriel primaire qui contribuent à moduler et à discriminer des sous-modalités tactiles et nociceptives au sein 3 du réseau spinothalamique. - Identification des réseaux impliquées dans la transmission et la modulation de l’information trigémino-vasculaire au niveau du tronc cérébral. - Mise en évidence de l’architecture fonctionnelle des réseaux corticofuges et hypothalamiques impliqués dans la genèse des migraines.
