Et c’est avec un immense plaisir que j’ai
l’honneur de vous proposer la deuxième
édition de cutlog dans la Bourse du
Commerce.

du 21 au 24 octobre 2010
En octobre dernier cutlog faisait ses
premiers pas sur la scène de l’art
contemporain. La fréquentation fut une
réussite au delà de ce que nous n’aurions
jamais osé imaginer.
Paris s’est donné rendez-vous sous le
dôme de la Bourse du Commerce, là où
autrefois se croisaient les marchands
d’épices du monde entier et où se
retrouvent aujourd’hui des galeries, des
artistes, des collectionneurs, des
curateurs, des critiques, des directeurs de
musées et professionnels du monde
entier.

Last October, Cutlog made its first appearance on
the contemporary art scene and the attendance was
a success beyond what we could have ever imagined.
Paris has now made a second appointment under the
dome of the Stock Exchange, where once crossed spice
merchants from around the world but which now will
house an international selection of galleries, artists,
collectors, curators, critics, museum directors and
art professionals.
It is with great pleasure that I hereby offer you the
second edition of Cutlog in the Bourse du Commerce.
A list of questions concerning the art market has been
formed: How does one position contemporary art in our
society? Why would one artist be further ahead than
another? Why would a consultant advise that he is
interested in one artist over another? Why is a certain
gallery no longer taking part in the circuit? And why
would these questions have no forum?!… And why so
many questions? What do you remember once you have
seen an exhibition? The work of the artist, the gallery
owner's commitment, the name of a curator?
We attempt to cultivate these reflections by proposing
a number of important choices during the fair: a rich
selection of artists, galleries and curators.
Cutlog supports galleries engaged in research and
discovery; some emerging, others already well-founded
in their home cities and countries. In an art market
where the main actors, once so important, seem to

n’a plus de tribune ?! Pourquoi autant de
questions ? Que retient-on d’une
exposition ? Le travail de l’artiste,
l’engagement du galeriste, le nom
du curateur ?
Nous tenterons de développer ces
réflexions durant la foire par une
proposition de choix importants, riche
d’artistes, de galeries et de curateurs.
Cutlog propose et soutient une sélection
de galeries engagées dans la recherche
et la découverte. Certaines émergent,
d’autres sont déjà en place dans leur ville
et dans leur pays. Dans un marché où

discussions on these issues. Gallery owners from Paris,
Tokyo, Hamburg, Barcelona, New York, London, Prague,
an abundance of artists representing a kaleidoscope
of concepts and cultures and as many creative
propositions. We suggest you join us during these
4 days.

de techniques et de cultures, autant de
pratiques artistiques que nous vous
