Version Bez. MCE 90 Beschreibung . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Best.-Nr. XLR 160 mm 23/25 mm 56,8 mm 375 g Thank you for selecting the MCE 90 studio condenser microphone. Please take some time to read carefully through this product information before setting up the equipment. Applications The MCE 90 has been designed for the use in studio applications. It can be used for vocals and instrument miking. Setting up The miking distance between the microphone and the source can make a difference in your recording. Depending on the desired sound and the source of your recording, set up the mic anywhere between 20 - 70 cm (8" and 2 ft). If you want a more intimate sound, choose a short distance; if you want to capture more natural room reverb increase the distance. For chorus recordings a larger distance between the singers and the microphone is recommended to capture all of the singers. Selectable Pre-Attenuation 0 dB / -15 dB On the bottom of the microphone there is the pre-attenuation switch allowing you to choose a pre-attenuation of -15 dB. The preattenuation is recommended for close miking or miking of loud instruments (switch to position -15 dB). When the pre-attenuation is switched on, the microphone can operate sound pressure levels of up to 154 dB. Switchable Lo-Cut-Filter The switch for the lo-cut-filter is also on the bottom of the microphone. It helps to compensate the close-talking effect at close miking and to attenuate noise caused by vibrations or wind. When the lo-cut-filter is switched on, treble is also boosted so that a balanced, brilliant sound is created. Powering The MCE 90 needs power to operate and requires a phantom supply between 12 and 48 V. It can be connected to any microphone input supplying this voltage. Using the EA 90 elastic suspension beyerdynamic)))) beyerdynamic)))) • Angle the stand adapter of the EA 90 to form a right angle (90°). • Slide the MCE 90 downward through the elastic suspension until the microphone clicks into position. When positioned correctly the “beyerdynamic” logo will be visible. Version Model MCE 90 Description . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Order # Studio condenser microphone, cardioid, incl. MCE 90 Description . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Art.
