Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Genius digital joystick series. This game device supports your favorite games in
Windows 3.x/95/98/NT and DOS. The diagram below shows the digital joystick’s controls and features:
Installation
1.
Turn off your PC
2.
Plug the digital joystick connector into the 15-pin game controller port on the PC.
3.
Turn on your PC and start playing your favorite game.
Joystick Setup Under Windows95
1.
Make sure you followed the directions properly when you installed the joystick to your computer.
2.
From the Windows desktop, click Start/Settings/Control Panel to open the Control Panel.
3.
Double click on Joystick.
4.
Choose the 4-button flight yoke w/throttle in the Joystick Selection.
5.
Calibrate the joystick, then click on Test to check the results.
6.
If it operates properly, then click OK.
7.
‘Begin a game or another program that supports a joystick.
8.
Check to make sure the joystick is working properly. If not, check to see if the program has a configuration menu where
you can enable the joystick. You could also have a hardware problem with the game port on the sound card.

Joystick Features
The digital joystick works in each game you play. It works in both analog or digital joystick mode.

Four buttons
●
Four conventional joystick buttons on the handle (buttons 1-4). Most games use button1 (the trigger ) to fire weapons .
Games often use other buttons to select, load weapons, assign targets, etc.
●
Throttle
The throttle gives you command over game functions. To speed up , slow down, or just enjoy the feeling of a different
speed. It can also function as thrust or altitude.
Troubleshooting
The Genius joystick does not respond
1.
You may be using a multiple game card.
Remove or disable all but one of the cards . Refer to the game-card documentation for more information.
2.
Bent pins
Check for bent pins on the game-port connector, and make sure all cable connectors are secure.
3.
Y-cable
Some Y-cables or joystick extension cables do not support the Genius Amusement Controller . Plug the game controller

directly into the game-port and check it again.
4.
If the game controller still does not work, try and shut down the PC for a couple of minutes, then restart it and you might
find it to work correctly.

Joystick unter Windows 95 einrichten

Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Start der Windows-Oberfläche, und wählen Sie Einstellungen/Systemsteuerung.

Doppelklicken Sie auf das Symbol Joystick.
4.
Wählen Sie unter Joystick-Auswahl die Option 4-Tasten-Flugsteuerknüppel m. Schubkontrolle.

Klicken Sie auf Kalibrieren..., um den Joystick zu kalibrieren. Klicken Sie anschließend auf Testen..., und überprüfen
Sie das Ergebnis.
6.
Falls der Joystick wie gewünscht funktioniert, klicken Sie auf OK.
7.
Starten Sie ein Spiel oder ein anderes Programm mit Joystickunterstützung.
8.
Überprüfen Sie, ob der Joystick wie vorgesehen funktioniert. Falls dies nicht der Fall ist, überprüfen Sie, ob der Joystick
im Konfigurationsmenü des Programms aktiviert werden kann. Auch ein Hardwarekonflikt mit dem Gameport der
Soundkarte kann unter Umständen zu einer Fehlfunktion führen.

Eigenschaften
Der Digital-Joystick eignet sich für alle Spiele. Dabei kann er sowohl im Analog- als auch im Digitalmodus betrieben
werden.

4 Tasten
Am Griff befinden sich die vier üblichen Joystick-Tasten (Tasten 1 bis 4). Taste 1 wird von den meisten Spielen als
Feuertaste benutzt. Die anderen Tasten dienen in der Regel zum Auswählen und Aktivieren von Waffen, zw Zielerfassung,
usw.

Schub
Die Schubsteuerung dient der Geschwindigkeitsänderung. Mit ihr können Sie nach Belieben beschleunigen oder
abbremsen. Sie können die Schubsteuerung aber auch zur Höhenänderung verwenden.

Der Genius-Joystick reagiert nicht.
1.
Möglicherweise verwenden Sie eine Multi-Gamekarte oder mehrere Gamekarten.
Entfernen oder deaktivieren Sie alle bis auf eine Karte. Weitere Hinweise finden Sie in der Dokumentation der
entsprechenden Karten.
2.
Stifte verbogen
Überprüfen Sie, ob die Kontakte am Joystick-Anschlußstecker verbogen sind und vergewissern Sie sich, daß alle
Kabekorrekt angeschlossen sind.
3.
Y-Kabel
Einige Y-Kabel bzw. Joystick-Verlängerungskabel unterstützen den Genius Digital-Joystick nicht. Schließen Sie den
Joystick direkt an den Gameport an.
4.
Falls der Joystick immer noch nicht funktionieren sollte, können Sie den PC ausschalten und nach einigen Minuten wieder
einschalten. Möglicherweise wird dadurch das Problem behoben.

Installation

Vérifiez que vous avez suivi correctement les instructions lorsque vous avez installé le joystick sur votre ordinateur.
2.
Sur le bureau de Windows, cliquez sur le bouton Démarrer, puis Paramètres et Panneau de configuration pour ouvrir
ce dernier.
3.
Double-cliquez sur Joystick.
4.
Dans la zone Sélection du Joystick, choisissez l’option Manche à balai à 4 boutons avec commande de gaz.

Calibrez le joystick, puis cliquez sur le bouton Test pour vérifier les résultats.

Si le joystick fonctionne correctement, cliquez sur OK.

Ouvrez un jeu ou tout autre programme qui utilise le joystick.

Vérifiez que le joystick fonctionne comme prévu. Si ce n’est pas le cas, regardez si le programme possède un menu de
configuration dans lequel il vous sera possible d’activer le joystick. Il se peut aussi qu’un problème matériel soit dû au port
de jeu de la carte son.

La manette de jeux numérique fonctionne avec tous les jeux. Elle peut être utilisée en mode analogique ou numérique.

Quatre boutons
Quatre boutons de manette de jeux conventionnelle sur la poignée (boutons 1 - 4). La plupart des jeux utilisent le bouton 1
(la gâchette) comme déclenchement de tir. Les jeux font souvent appel aux autres boutons pour sélectionner, charger des
armes, assigner des cibles, etc.

Manette de gaz
La manette de gaz vous permet de commander d’autres fonctions des jeux. Pour accélérer, ralentir, ou tout simplement
pour passer à une autre vitesse. Elle peut aussi servir à contrôler la poussée ou à changer d’altitude.
Dépannage
La manette de jeux Genius ne réagit pas
1.
Vous utilisez peut-être plusieurs cartes d’interface de jeux.
Ôtez ou désactivez toutes les cartes, sauf une. Reportez-vous à la documentation de vos cartes d’interface de jeux pour
plus d’informations.
2.
Broches tordues
Vérifiez le connecteur du port d’interface pour manette de jeux, au cas où des broches seraient tordues, et vérifiez que tous
les connecteurs sont correctement insérés et verrouillés.
3.
Câble en Y
Certains câbles en Y ou câbles d’extension pour manette de jeux ne permettent pas d’utiliser le contrôleur Genius
Amusement . Raccordez directement la manette de jeu à son port d’interface et essayez à nouveau.
4.
Si la manette de jeux ne réagit toujours pas, essayez d’éteindre votre ordinateur, d’attendre quelques minutes, puis de le
redémarrer : il devrait alors fonctionner correctement.

Caratteristiche del joystick

Quattro pulsanti
Quattro pulsanti joystick tradizionali sull’impugnatura (pulsanti 1-4). La maggior parte dei giochi utilizza il pulsante 1 (il
pulsante di fuoco) per sparare. I giochi spesso utilizzano altri pulsanti per selezionare e caricare le armi, assegnare gli
obiettivi, ecc.

Acceleratore
L’acceleratore assicura il controllo delle funzioni di gioco. Per accelerare o rallentare o solo per provare la sensazione di
una diversa velocità. Può avere anche la funzione di regolatore di spinta o dell’altitudine.
Soluzione dei problemi
Il joystick Genius non risponde
1.
È possibile che si stiano utilizzando schede gioco multiple.
Rimuovere o disattivare tutte le schede tranne una. Fare riferimento alla documentazione relativa alla scheda gioco per
maggiori informazioni.
2.
Pin piegati

Verifique si el joystick está funcionando correctamente. Si no, compruebe si el programa dispone de algún tipo de menú de

Características del Joystick
El joystick digital funciona en cada uno de los juegos que utiliza, y funciona tanto en el modo digital como en el analógico.

Cuarto botones
Cuatro botones convencionales en la empuñadura (botones 1-4). La mayoría de juegos utilizan el botón 1 (el gatillo) para
disparar las armas. Los juegos, a menudo utilizan los otros botones para cargar armas, asignar objetivos, etc.

Acelerador

3.
Cable en Y
Algunos cables en Y o cables alargadores no son compatibles con el controlador de entretenimiento de Genius. Enchufe el
joystick directamente a la tarjeta de juegos, sin utilizar ningún tipo de cable, adaptador, etc. Compruebe si así funciona
correctamente.
4.
Si el joystick continúa sin funcionar, apague el ordenador durante unos minutos, luego reinícielo y probablemente
funcionará correctamente de nuevo.
