24 HOURS OF LE MANS CLASSIC 2006 JULY 7 TH -8 TH -9TH, 2006 After the success of the two first Le Mans Classic in September 2002 and July 2004, the World most famous endurance race look back on it’s past for the third time in July 2006 offering 24 hours of races on the 13 km Le Mans Race Trach that is only used for the 24 Hours race. In parallel, the whole vintage car world will be invited again to an international club event in the Bugatti racetrack area, in the heart of the race. As in 2002 and 2004, Patrick Peter and the ACO has requested the Club Porsche France Classic to organize the Porsche Club area. ON THE TRACK Almost 400 race cars will fight on the racetrack between Saturday 4pm and Sunday 4pm. They will be spited into 6 grids according to the year of the car. Each grid will race 3 rounds with driver change. All the cars that have raced the 24 hours between 1923 and 1979 may submit their entry application. More that a hundred Porsche has applied, bun only 40 of them will be invited to race in order to let a little space to other manufacturers. At least one of each model will be on the track: 550 spider, 904, 906, 910, 917, 935 and 936! 356 and 911 will also be invited if they have effectively raced Le Mans. PORSCHE PACKS On top of the Porsche privileges already offered for the two first Le Mans Classic, two packs has been created to offer more to Porsche drivers: - Club Pack that includes General admission + Grandstands + Paddock + Clubs area, Clubs parking, and, only for the packs, 3 seated meals in the Porsche tent (Saturday lunch and diner, Sunday lunch) and sunday breakfast. - VIP Pack that includes all the Club Pack privileges plus the track lap with your Porsche, lottery ticket to win track laps between races in the latest Porsche with licensed drivers, access to the Porsche private lodge, helicopter tour over the racetrack during the race, and night ride to a private grandstand at Mulsane or Indianapolis turns.
