Le Réseau national sur le VIH/sida et les communautés noires, africaines et caraïbes
*Canadian HIV/AIDS Black, African and Caribbean Network+ (CHABAC) est un réseau
national d’organismes, d’individus et d’autres dépositaires d’enjeux qui travaillent à
répondre aux enjeux liés au VIH et au sida dans les communautés africaines, caraïbes et
noires du Canada.
VISION: Mettre fin à l’épidémie du VIH/sida parmi la population
africaine, caraïbe et noire du Canada.
MISSION: CHABAC travaille à intensifier la riposte au VIH/sida, à la
stigmatisation et à la discrimination qui s’y associent, parmi les
communautés africaines, caraïbes et noires du Canada.
ORIENTATION STRATÉGIQUES
1. Accroître notre capacité organisationnelle
Le CHABAC développera sa capacité interne de s’acquitter de
sa mission.
Nous finaliserons notre modèle de fonctionnement, y compris
le développement d’une structure d’adhésion inclusive, efficace et fondée sur nos principes directeurs
2. Rehausser notre profil et la sensibilisation aux enjeux
En mettant à profit notre bassin de membres et nos réseaux
departenariat, nous rehausserons le profil du CHABAC.

la capacité des dépositaires d’enjeux de répondre
efficacement et adéquatement aux besoins des communautés ACN de toutes les régions du pays.
3. Point de mire sur la viabilité à long terme
Le CHABAC recherchera des occasions de soutenir son travail, en renforçant et en diversifiant son
bassin de membres et en élaborant un plan de développement financier qui appuie ses principaux
objectifs.

THE CANADIAN HIV/AIDS BLACK, AFRICAN AND
CARIBBEAN NETWORK (CHABAC)
The Canadian HIV/AIDS Black, African and Caribbean Network (CHABAC) is a national
network of organizations , individuals and other stakeholders who are dedicated to
responding to issues related to HIV and AIDS in Canada’s African, Caribbean and Black
communities.
VISION: To end the HIV/AIDS epidemic among the African, Caribbean and Black population in Canada.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

MISSION: CHABAC works to strengthen the response to HIV/AIDS
epidemics and associated stigma and discrimination among African, Caribbean and Black communities in Canada.

Leveraging our members and partnering Networks, we will raise
the profile of CHABAC.
Develop a multi-pronged communication and community
engagement strategy in order to build the capacity of stakeholders to respond effectively and appropriately to the
needs of ACB communities in all regions of Canada
3. Focus on Long Term Sustainability
Seek out opportunities to support the work CHABAC does by strengthening and diversifying its
membership base and creating a fund development plan that supports its primary objectives
