Dans la musique cubaine, le songo est très sympathique à "faire tourner". En voici un exemple.
Nous choisirons le dessin rythmique suivant :
In Cuban music, the songo is a very nice rhythm to "work". Here is an example. We will choose the
following rhythmic pattern:

Joué main gauche, nous le composons avec les pieds suivants :
Playing with the left hand, we use the feet as follows :

La main droite joue des noires sur la cymbale ou une cloche. La main gauche peut se déplacer de la
caisse claire vers les toms.
The right hand plays quarter notes on the cymbal or bell. The left hand can move from the snare drum
to the toms.

Dans la musique brésilienne, le choriño, rythme traditionnel, tend maintenant à être utilisé dans la
musique "latin-fusion". En voici une application grosse caisse / charlé :
In Brazilian music, a traditional rhythm called the choriño is now commonly used in Latin fusion music.
Here is an application of this rhythm for the snare drum/charleston cymbals:

La main droite joue des doubles croches sur la cymbale. La main gauche joue le dessin rythmique cidessus décrit.
The right hand plays sixteenth notes on the cymbal. The left hand plays the rhythmic pattern described
above.

Ces rythmes demandent une bonne maîtrise de l'indépendance. Nous y reviendrons ultérieurement.
Pour l'instant, faites tourner la partie ostinato, incluez la main gauche progressivement : 1er temps,
puis 2nd temps, etc. Bon travail !
These rhythms require a good mastery of independence. We will return to them later. For now, work
on the ostinato part, gradually introducing the left hand: 1st beat, then 2nd beat, etc. Good luck !
