révèle que 29% d’entre eux ont ITIL comme cadre de gouvernance des TI.

Dans le même sondage, la virtualisation est le principal investissement à
venir au niveau des systèmes d’exploitation.

L’architecture d’entreprise (AE) c’est :
- l’urbanisme appliqué à l’écosystème d’une organisation;
- fournir un cadre de référence pour mieux intégrer les objectifs
d’affaires et les systèmes d’information;
- supporter la prise de décision au niveau des affaires ainsi
qu’apporter une vision stratégique qui favorise les synergies
et la cohérence dans l’entreprise.

Un regroupement de passionnés et de visionnaires, via chacun leur
entreprise ou organisation.
Maintenant à sa version 9, ce cadre de référence est le fruit du travail
de nombreux volontaires. Un peu à l’image d’ITIL.
De nombreux ateliers, tenus partout dans le monde, permettent des
échanges et la constante évolution du cadre de référence.
De nombreux documents techniques, gratuits ou presque, sont
disponibles.
Peut être utilisée en tandem avec un autre cadre de référence.

Si vous débutez l’AE, au lieu de débuter une lourde et coûteuse
cartographie de toute l’entreprise, accompagner plutôt les
projets en cours.
Les bénéfices en seront :
- d’avoir un accès direct aux ressources du projet;
- de profiter de la dynamique du projet pour influencer le
changement à planifier;
- de faire valoir les principes directeurs de l’AE et ainsi
accroître la valeur globale du projet;

• Une organisation peut se démarquer par une application
exclusive, ex. UPS
• Ce faisant, elle préfère passer outre aux avantages
suivants des applications commerciales :
- profiter des meilleures pratiques;
- version(s) déjà validée(s) quant à la conformité;
- protection contre l’effet Troll (RIM vs NTP, SCO vs Unix)
- protection contre les lacunes de sécurité
- expertise pour le codage multi-CPU et machines virtuelles
- ROI et TCO connus à l’avance (même si souvent élevé!)
