Station d’encouragements 8 000 kilomètres
Le 3 août, venez apporter vos encouragements à Ryan Stotland et Daniel
Kliger alors qu’ils passeront devant l’hôpital, dans le cadre de leur aventure
à vélo pan canadienne, afin d’amasser des fonds pour la création du Centre
du cancer de la peau et du Registre des tumeurs de l’HGJ. Détails suivront!

8,000 km Cheering Station
On August 3, come show your support for Ryan Stotland and
Daniel Kliger as they pass the hospital during their 8,000kilometre bike ride across Canada to raise funds for the
creation of a Skin Cancer Centre and Tumour Registry at the

recevoir un cadeau spécial en guise de remerciement, pour sa participation.

to End Breast Cancer are asked to drop by A-106 between 9 a.m. and 5
p.m. to receive a gift in appreciation of their efforts. JGH ID tags are a

Vous souhaitez faire une différence ? Joignez-vous à l’équipe du Service
d’accueil de l’HGJ. Nous avons besoin de bénévoles serviables et
dynamiques pour aider ceux qui franchissent les portes de l’hôpital à trouver
leur chemin, facilitant ainsi leur visite à l’hôpital.
Faire partie de l’équipe du Service d’accueil c’est bien plus que donner des
directions, c’est offrir une aide personnalisée à tout celui qui entre à l’HGJ.
Le Service d’accueil de l’HGJ est une initiative du Comité de l’humanisation

JGH Greeters
Do you want to make a difference? Become a JGH Greeter! Friendly and
dynamic volunteers are needed to assist people in finding their way through
the hospital in order to simplify the hospital experience.
The JGH Greeter’s job goes far beyond just giving directions – it’s about
offering personalized care to everyone who walks through the doors of the
JGH. The JGH Greeter service is offered under the auspices of the
Humanization of Care Committee. Info: local 3232.

Préparez-vous à applaudir… Même si vous ne participez
pas au Week-end pour vaincre le cancer du sein, vous
pouvez offrir un soutien moral aux marcheurs.
Le 26 août, venez et encouragez votre famille, vos collègues
et vos amis à la station de ravitaillement du Week-end pour
vaincre le cancer du sein de l’HGJ.
C’est une excellente façon de témoigner de votre appréciation
et d’encourager les marcheurs alors qu’ils défilent devant
l’hôpital dans le cadre de leur incroyable aventure de 2 jours.

Rah, rah, rah! Even if you’re not walking in the
Weekend to End Breast Cancer, you can give the
participants a much needed emotional boost.
Come on down and cheer on your relatives, coworkers and
friends at the JGH’s Weekend to End Breast Cancer Pit Stop
& Cheering Station on Aug. 26.
It’s a great way to show your appreciation and encourage the
walkers as they pass the hospital during their incredible twoday journey.

BBQ de la Cafétéria
Venez savourer des hamburgers, hot dogs, épis de maïs et des brochettes
de légumes aux barbecues de la cafétéria de l’HGJ. Si la température le
permet, les barbecues auront lieu tous les deuxièmes mercredis de l’été.

Marche du Souvenir
Le groupe Alzheimer Inc et la Société Alzheimer de Montréal présente la
Marche du Souvenir 2006, au profit de la Clinique de la mémoire de
l’HGJ et du Centre McGill d’études sur le vieillissement. La marche de
5km/10 km aura lieu le 10 septembre au Parc du Mont-Royal. Il y aura des
t-shirts pour les 200 premiers marcheurs; et des trois meilleurs leveurs de

Week-end pour vaincre le cancer du sein
Encouragez l’équipe de la Fondation de l’HGJ en achetant des plaques
d’identification (5 $), des aimants pour la voiture (5 $), des lanières à
mettre autour du cou (5 $), des petites serviettes (5 $), des stylos (2 $) et
des tablettes de chocolat (3 $). Vous pourrez vous procurer ces items au
bureau de la Fondation (A-107).
Offices de la prière de l’après-midi
Les offices de la prière juive de l’après-midi (minha) se déroulent chaque
après-midi à l'HGJ. Si vous avez quelques minutes de libres, votre
participation serait grandement appréciée.

Cafeteria BBQ
Enjoy great hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob and vegetable
brochettes at the JGH cafeteria barbecues! Weather permitting,
the barbecues take place every second Wednesday, all summer

Memory Walk
The Alzheimer Groupe Inc. and Alzheimer Society of Montreal present the
Memory Walk 2006 to benefit research at the JGH Memory Clinic and
McGill Centre for Studies in Aging. The 5 km/10 km walk takes place on
September 10 at Mount Royal Park. There will be t-shirts for the first 200
walkers and the top three fundraisers will win great prizes! To register, or

Afternoon services
Jewish minha (afternoon) services continue to be held regularly in the JGH.
If you can spare a few minutes, your participation would be greatly
appreciated.

Non-Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the hospital and within the
marked “smoke-free” perimeters at every entrance. A zero-tolerance policy
will be observed for all employees, medical professionals, volunteers,
patients and visitors.
