MODEL
For the design of its products, HITEMA uses Solid
Edge 14, which ensures flexibility in design modifications
and high-quality aesthetic input. Insight.net technology
extends the possibility of improving project quality to the
whole company, thanks to a complete Web viewing set
for access to bills of materials. This solution significantly
accelerates access to product information and eliminates
the need for costly personalised search engines. Last but
not least, Solid Edge combines a complete series of
options for the migration of data from 2 to 3D, with
advanced tools for 2D documentation. Version 14 also

for steel sheet, welds and pipes, Solid Edge 14 offers new

Low noise water chiller with double hydric circuit,
heat pump version
HITEMA’s Design and Research Department has developed a range of products with high industrial process standards, and has verified their reliability and effectiveness by
conducting thermal and acoustic tests on the chillers with
both air and water condensation. The cooling performances
were recorded in compliance with the international certification specifications of EUROVET, using the instruments and
software available at the HITEMA Research Center, which
provides for the acquisition and processing of the following
data: flow rate, pressure, temperature, electrical measurements, with Z-PC modules.
The PC and software system Z-DATA RECORDER acquired
the data, recorded it and displayed the measurement values.
When the recording/testing process was completed, the data
was made available in an Excel file.

The XWEB300 is an alarm and controlling
management module based on internal Web Page
that works in a Linux enviroment.
It allows the connectivity to the network of ModBUS
devices through PC or PDA equipped with standard
Browser 8Microsoft Internet Explorer® or
Netscape®).
It is possible to see all the variables of a controller
and allows the management of parameters and
alarms.
Thanks to Java Applet it is possible to obtain a
powerful and complete visualisation of graphs and
other instruments for the system management.

automatizza anche processi di disegno lunghi e laboriosi come la pallinatura e le tabelle di foratura. Oltre alla dotazione di flussi di lavoro per la lamiera, saldature e tubazioni, Solid Edge 14 aggiunge nuove funzionalità per i cablaggi
preassemblati. Grazie alla possibilità di modellare i cablaggi direttamente negli assiemi, si è eliminata la fase di creazione manuale delle liste di cablaggio cartacee e il relativo dispendio di tempo.

Il servizio progettazione e ricerca, HITEMA ha sviluppato
una gamma di prodotti con elevati standard di processo industriali, verificandone l’affidabilità e la resa tramite test di prove
termiche e acustiche dei gruppi refrigeratori con condensazione sia ad aria che ad acqua, registrando le prestazioni di raffreddamento nell’ambito della certificazione internazionale
EUROVET, grazie alla strumentazione e software in dotazione
del centro ricerche HITEMA che prevede l’acquisizione e l’elaborazione di: portate, pressioni, temperature, rilevazioni elettriche con moduli Z-PC.
Il sistema PC e software Z-DATA RECORDER ha acquisito i
dati, registrando, visualizzando i valori delle misure, ed al termine della registrazione/prova li ha resi disponibili con un file in

un dispositivo, permette la gestione dei parametri e
degli allarmi.

• PERFECT CONTROL OF PROCESS FLUID
TEMPERATURE
Total cooling capacity is generated by several
compressors rather than relying on a single large
size unit. This solution makes it possible to divide the
total capacity into a series of steps and use reliable
and economical standard components, thereby
achieving clear manufacturing and functional benefits.
• COMPLETE OF FREE-COOLING (OPTIONAL)
Offering exceptional performance levels in terms
of efficiency, the units in the new series are able to
exploit low ambient air temperature conditions
whenever available – all year round. The new
range, which extends the existing line of air conditioning units, has been specifically engineered to
provide the exceptional reliability demanded in
industrial applications. Although the maximum
saving in energy is obtained during continuous
operation of the systems for 24 hours/day, chillers
equipped with free-cooling allow very substantial
power consumption savings even with short periods of operation, while also guaranteeing longer
life expectancy and reduced maintenance requirements when compared to conventional chillers.
The operating methods utilized guarantee energy
savings typically in excess of 40% with respect to
conventional units.

liquid refrigerant on the suction side and protected
by thermal overload and overcurrent relays
- Hermetic scroll compressor operating with very
high efficiency levels and low electrical power consumption
- Semi-hermetic screw compressor equipped as

motors feature part-winding start technology and
are protected from overheating by means of thermistors embedded in the stator winding.

TEMPERATURE
Total cooling capacity is generated by several
compressors rather than relying on a single large
size unit. This solution makes it possible to divide the
total capacity into a series of steps and use reliable
and economical standard components, thereby
achieving clear manufacturing and functional benefits.
• COMPLETE OF FREE-COOLING (OPTIONAL)
Offering exceptional performance levels in terms
of efficiency, the units in the new series are able to
exploit low ambient air temperature conditions
whenever available – all year round. The new
range, which extends the existing line of air conditioning units, has been specifically engineered to
provide the exceptional reliability demanded in
industrial applications. Although the maximum
saving in energy is obtained during continuous
operation of the systems for 24 hours/day, chillers
equipped with free-cooling allow very substantial
power consumption savings even with short periods of operation, while also guaranteeing longer
life expectancy and reduced maintenance requirements when compared to conventional chillers.
The operating methods utilized guarantee energy
savings typically in excess of 40% with respect to
conventional units.

heat pump version
HITEMA’s Design and Research Department has developed a range of products with high industrial process standards, and has verified their reliability and effectiveness by
conducting thermal and acoustic tests on the chillers with
both air and water condensation. The cooling performances
were recorded in compliance with the international certification specifications of EUROVET, using the instruments and
software available at the HITEMA Research Center, which
provides for the acquisition and processing of the following
data: flow rate, pressure, temperature, electrical measurements, with Z-PC modules.
The PC and software system Z-DATA RECORDER acquired
the data, recorded it and displayed the measurement values.
When the recording/testing process was completed, the data
was made available in an Excel file.
