CourteBiographied’ElietteBonefoy Eliette Bonnefoy est Directrice de recherche (DR2) du CNRS. Elle est responsable du groupe « Plasticité Nucléaire et Défense Antivirale » dans l’unité Inserm UMRS1007 au CICB-Paris depuis 2014. Après des études de Biochimie à l’université Pierre et Marie Curie et un DEA au Collège de France dans le laboratoire dirigé par François Gros, elle a préparé sa thèse de doctorat à l’Institut de Biologie Physico-Chimique (IBPC, Paris) sous la direction de Josette Rouvière-Yaniv portant sur la capacité des protéines de type histone d’E. Coli d’agir sur l’expression et la stabilité génomique. (PNAS, EMBO J, J Mol Biol, Mol Microbiol). Elle a ensuite effectué un stage postdoctoral ( EMBO short term fellowship ) au Max-Planck Institut für Molekulare Genetik, à Berlin, sous la direction du Pr. W. Messer. Elle a intégré le CNRS en 1992 et a rejoint l’UPR9073 CNRS, à l’IBPC à Paris. En 1997, elle rejoint l’unité CNRS UPR37 dirigée par Janine Doly sur le site des Saint-Pères, pour y créer l’équipe « Chromatine, organisation nucléaire et régulation de la transcription ». Son équipe a étudié le rôle du remodelage de la chromatine dans la régulation de l’expression du gène codant pour l’interféron béta, qui est nécessaire à la mise en place de la réponse antivirale innée (publications dans Mol Cell Biol, J Virol, PLoS Pathog, NAR). Récemment, son équipe a collaboré avec celle de Luc Buée (Unité Alzheimer et Tauopathies, à Lille) pour l’étude du rôle de la protéine Tau dans l’organisation de l’hétérochromatine péricentromérique et la réponse interféron béta neuronale.
