RENSEIGNEMENTS STATISTIQUES SUR LE COMMERCE DES
ARMES, MUNITIONS ET MATERIELS DE GUERRE
Reconmmancdation proposee par la troisieme Commission et adoptee parl'Assemblee
le 22 septembre 1925 (natin).
L'Assemblee,
Tenant compte des stipulations de la Convention sur le contr6le du commerce
international des armes et munitions et des materiels de guerre, signee a Geneve le
17 juin 1925;
Considerant les avantages qui decouleraient de l'unification des nomenclatures
et des methodes statistiques concernant ce commerce;
Considerant le paragraphe 3 de la resolution de la cinquieme Assemblee, en
date du 27 septembre 1924, en vertu duquel ( les Etats menibres et non membres
de la Societe des Nations sont pries de remettre au Secretariat tons documents
qu'ils estiment de nature a faciliter la preparation du recueil de renseignements
statistiques sur le commerce des armes, munitions et materiels de guerre );
Recommande a tous les Etats d'adopter, aussitot qu'il leur sera possible, les
modeles qui figurent en annexe 1 a ladite Convention pour leurs statistiques nationales et pour les documents qu'ils fournissent au Secretariat en vue de la
preparation du recueil susmentionne.
SIXTH ASSEMBLY OF THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
STATISTICAL INFORMATION ON THE TRADE INARMS,
AMMUNITION AND IMPLEMENTS OF WAR.
Recommendation proposed by the Third Conmmittee and adopted by the Assembly
on September 22nd, 1925 (morning).
The Assembly:
Taking into account the provisions of the Convention for the Supervision
of the International Trade in Arms and Ammunition and in Implements of War,
signed at Geneva on June 17th, 1925;
Considering the advantage to be derived from the standardisation of nomenclature and statistical systems for this trade;
Considering paragraph 3 of the resolution of the fifth Assembly, dated
September 27th, 1924, in virtue of which "States Members and non-Members of the
League of Nations are invited to transmit to the Secretariat all documents which
they may deem likely to be of assistance in the preparation of a collection of statistical data concerning the trade in arms, munitions and implements of war" ;
Recommends all States, so soon as they may find it possible, to adopt the
models given in Annex I to the said Convention for their national statistics and for
the documents they supply to the Secretariat as data for the preparation of the
above-mentioned collection.
