Nigeria: FCMB Launches Telephone Banking Platform Daily Trust; July 2, 2012 First City Monument Bank (FCMB) said at the weekend that it has introduced telephone banking services. This means customers of the bank no longer have to wait to speak with contact centre consultant to have their banking transactions done, "thus making your transactions faster and more convenient," it said in a statement. Uganda: Bank of India Returns to Uganda East African Business Week (All Africa); July 1, 2012 Bank of India Uganda Limited has re-opened in Uganda bringing to 25 the number of commercial banks operating in Uganda's growing market. The bank, which boasts of a portfolio of about Ushs 266 trillion ($110b) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of India with headquarters in India.
