Origine: Chine. Splendide arbuste persistant de forme plutôt variable. Feuilles lancéolées elliptiques
de 7cm de long et 5cm de large, d’un vert sombre lustré. Grandes fleurs doubles solitaires larges
de 8cm ; elles ont des pétales blancs charnus, sont très parfumées et s’épanouissent l’une après
l’autre de Juin à Novembre. Il réclame des terrains acides ou neutres. Là où le climat est doux et
humide on le cultive sans problèmes et il forme de très beaux massifs. Réussit bien en pot.
Origin: China. Splendid evergreen shrub with rather variable shapes. Lanceolate, elliptic leaves, 7cm
long, 5cm wide, glossy dark green. Large, double, single flowers 8cm wide. The flowers have fleshy,
white petals, are very fragrant and are produced continuously one after another from June to
November. Requires acid or neutral soil. This plant can be grown without any problems in places where
the climate is mild and damp, forming beautiful bushes. Grows well in pots.

Origine: Sud Est des Etats Unis, Mexique, Guatemala. Plante grimpante persistante aux tiges
fines ornées de longues feuilles vert lustré. Produit au printemps et en été des bouquets
parfumés de fleurs jaune à la gorge orange.
Origin: South East United States, Mexico, Guatemala. Evergreen climbing plant with thin stems and
long, glossy, green leaves. In spring and summer it produces clusters of fragrant, yellow flowers with
orange throats.

Conifère dioïque à feuilles caduques, dont la tête se développe de façon irrégulière, plutôt étroite.
Ecorce grise et liégeuse qui se fissure à l’âge adulte. Feuilles originales et très décoratives avec une
forme d’éventail caractéristique ; de couleur vert clair au printemps, vert plus foncé tendant au gris en
été ; elles prennent à l’automne une magnifique coloration jaune, un jaune pur sans traces d’orange
ou de brun. Quand elles tombent elles forment au pied de la plante un splendide tapis d’or. Fleurs
sans intérêt, suivies chez les plantes femelles de fruits charnus à l’odeur peu agréable une fois mûrs.
La floraison et la fructification débutent chez les sujets largement adultes, à quarante ans parfois.
Très rustique, il réussit bien dans tous les terrains mais poussera avec plus de vigueur et de régularité
dans les substrats profonds acides ou alcalins. Tolère le calcaire, résiste à la pollution.
Dioecious, deciduous conifer with a crown that develops unevenly, rather narrow. Grey, corky bark
becoming deeply furrowed in adult plants. Unusual and very decorative, fan-shaped leaves, pale green
in spring, darker green to greyish in summer and in autumn they turn a wonderful pure yellow without
any trace of orange or brown. When the leaves fall in autumn they form an amazing yellow carpet at
the foot of the tree. Insignificant flowers followed, only on the female plants, by fleshy fruit which gives
off an unpleasant smell when ripe. The flowering and fructification starts when the tree is adult, even
at forty years. Very hardy, grows well in all types of soil but is more luxuriant and regular if grown in
deep substratum from acid to alkaline. Tolerates calcareous soil, withstands pollution.

Variété se reproduisant par greffe sur tige de Ginkgo biloba. En partant du point de greffe
les branches s’élargissent horizontalement, puis deviennent nettement pendantes, ce qui
confère à la plante un port pleureur très large. Feuilles comme l’espèce type, moins colorées
de jaune à l’automne. Idéal pour petits jardins.
A variety which is propagated by grafting at the top of the trunk of Ginkgo biloba. From the point of the grafting
the branches at first spread out horizontally and then they become clearly pendulous giving the plant a very wide,
weeping habit. The leaves are the same as the type but are not so yellow in autumn. Ideal for small gardens.

Origine. Etats-Unis. Cultivar mâle qui par conséquent ne fructifie pas. Il a un port étroitement
fastigié avec un tronc qui s’élève de manière admirablement rectiligne, densément revêtu
de branches courtes légèrement tournées vers le haut. Par la suite il s’élargit en cône élancé.
Feuilles: comme Ginkgo biloba.
Origin: USA. Male cultivar which therefore does not produce fruit. A narrowly pyramidal habit with
the trunk growing straight up, densely covered with short branches which are slightly ascending. They
later spread out and the tree becomes a slender conical shape. Leaves: the same as Ginkgo biloba.
