Installation Instructions
1. Insure that the surface which the trim is to be applied is clean, dry and free of all oil, grease and
wax. The application surface must also be warm, minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F)
2. Wash area with clean water and then dry. Wipe area a second time with a cloth moistened with
rubbing alcohol to remove all oils and waxes. For best results when applying stainless steel trim to
unpainted plastic parts, Primer Adhesion Promoter is recommended.
3. Determine exact location for trim piece.
4. Partially remove protective film from one end of the adhesive strip(s) and hold the tail(s) of the
protective film to the outside of the part as you align the part to the vehicle. When the part is aligned
to the vehicle gently press the part onto the vehicle. While maintaining alignment of the part to the
vehicle pull the tail(s) of the protective film until the protective film has been completely removed
from the adhesive strip and from under the part. Press the part firmly onto the vehicle for 30 seconds
to ensure proper adhesion.

Putco warrants its stainless steel and aluminum products against defects in workmanship and materials for as long as you
own your vehicle. “Black powder-coated and chrome plated products have a one year warranty on the finished surface.” Any defects
resulting from faulty material or workmanship will be warranted by Putco and repaired or replaced at our discretion. Putco assumes
no extra labor costs. Damages caused by freight carriers, improper installation, misuse, collision, or neglect will not be warranted by
Putco. Putco requires the original receipt for any warranty claims.
