TEAM CANADA WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL – 2011 OPEN IDENTIFICATION CAMPS

Team Canada Women’s Volleyball is organizing two (2) Identification Camps in March. These camps are OPEN for
all CIS/CCAA/NCAA athletes (All athletes MUST be students at post-secondary institutions OR are beginging postsecondary studies in the fall of 2011).
Camp objective
 Identify athletes to be invited to the FISU Team Selection Camp, May 8-12 in Winnipeg, as well as identify
athletes for future Team Canada programs.

The 2011 FISU Team will represent Team Canada at the 26 Summer Universiade, August 12-23 in Shenzhen,
China.
Athlete eligibility
 All athletes MUST be students at post-secondary institutions or are scheduled to begin post-secondary studies in
the fall of 2011.
 All athletes wishing to be invited to the FISU Team selection camp in May should attend 1 of these Open camps
 2010 B Team athletes DO NOT have to participate
 Athletes may attend the camp of their choice regardless of where they reside
Volleyball Canada’s Women’s National Team coaches, Mr. Arnd Ludwig and Mr. Scott Koskie, will be in
attendance and will be running all sessions.
General Camp schedule (detailed schedule available upon arrival)
Friday – 12-3pm : Check-in hotel – Training session : late afternoon – Supper : after training
Saturday – 2 training sessions + 3 meals
Sunday – 1 training session + 2 meals – Athletes depart after 2pm

Registration deadline: March 10, 2011. THERE IS NO REGISTRATION FEE.

1) Release of confidential information and participant consent

Athletes must arrange their own transportation to and from the Identification Camps and inform Nichole Mailey
([email protected]) of their itinerary. Ground transportation will be provided to athletes upon arrival. Please note
that if athletes are staying in one of the hotels, Volleyball Canada will provide the hotel with a rooming list, two
athletes per room. Please plan to arrive before 2pm on the Friday of your camp and depart after 2pm on the
Sunday.

ÉQUIPE CANADA FÉMININE – CAMPS D’IDENTIFICATION OUVERTS 2011

Équipe Canada tiendra deux camps d’identification ouverts en mars 2011. Ces camps sont OUVERTS à toutes les
athlètes des réseaux du SIC et de l’ACSC. Toutes les athlètes doivent être étudiantes dans une institution postsecondaire.
Objectif
Identifier les athlètes qui seront invitées au camp de sélection de l’équipe FISU, du 8 au 12 mai 2011 à Winnipeg.
L’équipe FISU représentera le Canada aux Jeux mondiaux universitaires qui auront lieu du 12 au 23 août 2011 à
Shenzhen en Chine.
Admissibilité
 Toutes les athlètes doivent être étudiantes dans une institution post-secondaire
 Toutes les athlètes désireuses d’être invitées au camp de sélection de l’équipe FISU devraient participer
 Les athlètes membres de l’équipe candienne B en 2010 ne sont pas tenues de participer
 Les athlètes peuvent participer au camp de leur choix peu importe leur lieu de résidence
Les entraîneurs nationaux, Arnd Ludwig et Scott Koskie, seront sur place durant les 2 camps et dirigeront tous les
entraînements.
Horaire général du camp (horaire détaillé disponible à l’arrivée)
Vendredi – Midi à 15h : enregisterment à l’hotel – Entraînement en fin d’après-midi – Souper en soirée
Samedi – 2 entraînements + 3 repas
Dimanche : 1 entraînement + 2 repas – Départ des athlètes après 14h

double. Veuillez planifier votre itinéraire afin d’arriver le vendredi avant 14h et de quitter après 14h le
dimanche.
