More precisely, he/she is responsible for executing the following tasks: RESPONSIBILITIES General Responsibilities Executing receipt/shipping of materiel, including hazardous material (HAZMAT), which involves unloading/loading trucks and/or inspecting materiel both qualitatively and quantitatively and/or placing materiel on the appropriate handling line. Executing shipment of materiel, including HAZMAT, which involves checking and/or prepacking and/or preparing appropriate shipping documents. Executing storage of materiel, including HAZMAT, which involves picking/storing items in assigned location and/or transferring materiel. Executing preservation, packing, packaging of materiel and in-storage maintenance. Assisting in the preparation of public sales for disposal materiel including the creation of lots, the visits of potential buyers, and the picking-up and loading of sold materiel. Executing other related tasks as required in peacetime and any other appropriate tasks assigned in times of crisis or war. In the event of crisis or war the incumbent will, subject to the agreement of his/her national authorities, remain in the service of the Agency. Specific Responsibilities Using terminals and other Electronic Data Processing (EDP) systems to record necessary transactions. Applying work safety regulations and taking appropriate measures to ensure safeguarding of work areas. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS General Qualifications Complete secondary school or equivalent education. Ability and willingness to learn the Agency transportation and warehousing procedures. Valid category "B" driving license and ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) (warehouse tractors and forklift trucks). Good health and physical ability to handle semi-bulk and bulk items and to execute loading/unloading operations. Knowledge of information systems at end-user level with experience in using personal computers and software packages. Specific Qualifications Knowledge of the Agency's enterprise software (SAP) would be an asset. Basic knowledge of dangerous goods and classified materiel regulations. LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS NATO's two official languages are English and French. Both languages are important in the work of this post, therefore a working knowledge of both languages is essential. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS N/A PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS All NSPA personnel are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the current NATO Code of Conduct agreed by the North Atlantic Council (NAC), and thus display the core values of integrity, impartiality, loyalty, accountability, and professionalism. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Due to the Division's requirements to provide services 24 hours a day/7 days a week, the incumbent of this post will be required to work irregular hours to ensure continuity of service. Il (elle) exécute, plus précisément, les tâches suivantes : RESPONSABILITÉS Responsabilités générales exécuter, dans le cadre de la réception et de l'expédition, y compris des matières dangereuses, un travail consistant à décharger et à charger des camions, à inspecter le matériel du point de vue qualitatif et quantitatif et à le placer sur la chaîne de traitement appropriée ; exécuter, dans le cadre de l'expédition du matériel, y compris des matières dangereuses, un travail consistant à contrôler le matériel, à le préemballer et à établir les documents d'expédition nécessaires ; exécuter, dans le cadre du stockage du matériel, y compris des matières dangereuses, un travail consistant à prendre les articles et à les stocker à l'endroit prévu et à transférer du matériel ; appliquer une protection primaire au matériel, l'emballer, le conditionner et assurer la maintenance du matériel stocké ; aider à la préparation des ventes publiques de matériels à éliminer, ce qui comprend la constitution de lots, les visites des acheteurs potentiels et l'enlèvement ainsi que le chargement des matériels vendus ; exécuter d'autres tâches connexes selon les besoins en temps de paix et toutes autres tâches appropriées qui lui seront assignées en période de crise ou en temps de guerre. En cas de crise ou de guerre, le (la) titulaire restera au service de l'Agence, sous réserve de l'accord de ses autorités nationales. Responsabilités particulières enregistrer les opérations nécessaires à l'aide de terminaux et d'autres systèmes informatiques ; appliquer les règles de sécurité du travail et prendre les mesures appropriées afin d'assurer la protection des zones de travail. QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIELLES Qualifications générales Études secondaires complètes ou formation équivalente. Capacité et volonté d'apprendre les procédures de transport et de magasinage de l'Agence. Permis de conduire "B" en cours de validité et aptitude à utiliser des engins de manutention (tracteurs de magasin et chariots élévateurs). Bonne santé et aptitude physique à manutentionner des articles semi-encombrants et encombrants et à exécuter des travaux de chargement et de déchargement. Connaissance des systèmes d'information au niveau de l'utilisateur final assortie d'une expérience en matière d'utilisation d'ordinateurs personnels (PC) et de progiciels. Qualifications particulières La connaissance du progiciel de gestion intégrée de l'Agence (SAP) constituerait un atout. Connaissance élémentaire des règlements relatifs aux marchandises dangereuses et aux matériels classifiés. CONNAISSANCES LINGUISTIQUES Les deux langues officielles de l'OTAN sont l'anglais et le français. Les deux langues étant importantes pour le travail effectué à ce poste, il est essentiel d'en avoir une connaissance pratique. QUALIFICATIONS SOUHAITABLES S.O.
