 Post-­‐Doctoral position at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques de Bretagne Atlantique Université de Bretagne-­‐Sud The Mathematics Laboratory at the Université de Bretagne-­‐Sud is opening a nine month post-­‐
doctoral position in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. The position will be based in Vannes. The work will focus on the concrete optimization of geolocalization algorithms in the framework of their practical implementation. Sought abilities are a good knowledge of exact and heuristic optimization methods, a working knowledge of the programming languages Matlab and C/C++, an acquaintance with spatialized data, and an aptitude to mathematical modelling, especially using differential or integro-­‐differential equations. The post-­‐doctoral researcher will have to show a good deal of dynamism and assimilate quickly the used models and solutions, in order to optimize their machine implementation. He should have good communication abilities and be able to work in team, as well as an experience of projects with an applied content. Offre de Post-­‐Doctorat au Laboratoire de Mathématiques de Bretagne Atlantique Université de Bretagne-­‐Sud Le Laboratoire de Mathématiques de Bretagne Atlantique à l’Université de Bretagne-­‐Sud (LMBA-­‐UBS) offre une position de post-­‐doctorant en Mathématiques Appliquées et Statistique pour une durée de neuf mois an sur son site de Vannes. Celle-­‐ci porte sur l’optimisation concrète d’algorithmes de géolocalisation dans le cadre de leur implémentation pratique. Les compétences recherchée sont une bonne connaissance des méthodes exactes et heuristiques d’optimisation, la maîtrise des langages de programmation Matlab et C/C++, une familiarité avec les données spatialisée et une aptitude à la modélisation mathématique, notamment par équations différentielles ou intégro-­‐différentielles. Le candidat retenu devra faire preuve de dynamisme et assimiler rapidement les modèles utilisés et les solutions retenues, en vue d’optimiser leur implémentation sur machine. Il devra avoir de bonnes capacités de communication et de travail en équipe, ainsi qu’une expérience de projets à contenu appliqué.
