As a result of rising domestic Chardonnay prices,
Chablis has become one of our most dynamic
categories for the last several years running. As our customers seek alternatives to get
their Chardonnay fix, the low prices and world-class quality of top Chablis can’t be beat.
We unearthed the relatively unknown Domaine des Malandes a couple of years ago with
their acclaimed 2011 vintage. Now, we can’t seem to keep the wines in stock. Domaine des
Malandes is a 29-hectare family project run by Lyne Marchive and her rising star
winemaker, Guenole Breteaudeau. They’re producing wines that are focused, pure, and
wonderful expressions of Chardonnay. The Malandes holdings comprise some of the most
beautiful old-vine plantings of Chardonnay in the world.
Based on our experience with the last two vintages, we anticipate these wines will sell out
fast. This is a pre-arrival offering. We expect the wines to arrive before the end of the
month (June) and are offering them at special discounted pre-arrival pricing. Our pricing is
the lowest in the nation.
