A FUTURISTIC TAKE FOR
TRACTORS SINGAPORE-CATERPILLAR'S
PRODUCT LAUNCH 2014
Guests who arrived early were treated to drinks and the spectacular view of the
Singapore Central Business District (CBD) skyline at the 69th floor
Hovering in outer space, whilst valued customers/TSL-Caterpillar hosts enjoyed networking during cocktails and a
bird's eye view of the city atop Swissotel The Stamford's Equinox sited on its 69th floor on Friday, 25 April, a
special UFO awaits its cue.
Managing Director, Mr Ng Pock Yin delivering his
opening speech.
A section of our attentive guests
In his opening address, Mr Ng Pock Yin, Managing Director of Tractors Singapore Limited (TSL), thanked
esteemed customers for their valued patronage and trust in brand Cat and TSL’s services. He emphasized TSL’s
steadfast devotion to always putting customers first and Caterpillar’s commitment to continuous research and
development of their products to ensure end-users have the best to make the most of their investments whilst
improving their productivity/profitability.
Target: Earth – Asia – Singapore. Hurtling like a bolt of fire and moving faster than the
speed of light, our special UFO takes off for destination Equinox and makes a spectacular
landing immediately after Mr Ng's speech. It uncouples itself to reveal the “series D2”
hydraulic excavators and the C series 730 articulated dump truck. The diners gave a
resounding approval at TSL's attempt at leveraging the technology platform to showcase a
selection of new Caterpillar machines!
Celebrated emcees, Lee Pei Fen and Liu Ling Ling then used the iPad to showcase the key
features and benefits of each new machine.
The new Cat “D2” series hydraulic excavators were introduced as a direct replacement of the “D” series, offering:
•
•
•
•
•
Improved Performance - industry-leading cycle times and digging forces
Improved Fuel Efficiency - Power Management Systems which match output to job requirements
Greater Versatility – Wide variety of Cat couplers, buckets and work tools
Operator Comfort – Cabin and monitor design provide superior operator comfort and improved productivity
Equipment Management Solutions – Cat AccuGrade Control and Product Link
The new Cat 314E LCR series hydraulic excavator makes an ideal choice for customers seeking a powerful, fuelefficient, compact, easy-to-transport machine with the capability of taking on many common utility applications.
The engine complies with Tier 4 interim standards. Its compact design makes the 314E LCR ideal for busy
construction sites and projects in a space-constrained environment. The cab of the machine is also designed to
meet the latest Roll-Over Protective Structure (ROPS) standard, ensuring operator's safety.
The 730C articulated dump truck introduces a new generation of performance and ease of operation. It is aimed
particularly at the productivity customer - where tonnes/hour and tonnes/litre of fuel burned are key drivers to
business success. With this in mind, both driving and retarding power have been substantially increased, thus
significantly reducing cycle times compared to the previous model.
The multi-talented emcees, Lee Pei Fen and Liu Ling Ling kept
the guests entertained throughout the night.
A lucky draw by Mr Danny Teo (left) and Mr Alan Ow (right), saw 10
lucky guests walk away with prizes.
Throughout the evening of good food and drinks, guests were kept engaged and entertained by easy banter and
songs by the multi-talented emcees. A lucky draw by TSL's Mr Danny Teo, General Manager, Equipment Sales as
well as Mr Alan Ow, Chief Operating Officer, saw 10 lucky guests walk away with prizes.
Guests all ready for a high spirited toast of “Yam Huat”
On stage, Mr Ng Pock Yin, Mr Alan Ow and the emcees leading the
toast.
The night ended with a grand Yam Seng finale – a high spirited toast of “Yam Huat” – wishing prosperity and
wealth for Tractors Singapore, Caterpillar and their honoured guests.
