Led by Queen’s University, the Université du Québec à Montréal and the University of Toronto, the Summer Institute will be
conducted in partnership with the Univerdidad de Guadalajara (UdeG) while 20 international students will atttend.
Main goals: To provide a well-structured, collaborative, and inter-disciplinary learning environment for students whose research is
relevant to the themes of the EDG project (see www.edg-gde.ca); to study diversity and democracy from different theoretical
perspectives, and; to establish an international forum for exchange.
Language: The principal language of work was English although there were some public events held either in French or in Spanish.
Location: The Summer Institute will take place at the Hotel Villa Montecarlo in Chapala, on the outskirt of Guadalajara.
