VOS MISSIONS
In a context of constant growth and development of its scientific activities, Leosphere is hiring an experienced
wind Engineer, demonstrating a high scientific expertise in measurement techniques in the context of the wind
energy industry needs.
You will be directly working in the division of Technological and Scientific Research and you will be in charge of
the scientific marketing, proving and developing the applications of the Lidar technology for wind measurement.
The Lidar instruments are ground-based vertical profilers, long-range scanning and nacelle-mounted Lidars for a
range of applications going from wind resource assessment, wind turbine power performance tests to Lidarassisted turbine control.
Your main assignments will be:

The realization of proofs of application, the evaluation of the key scientific benefits of using Lidar
technology in various applications.

The participation into national and international collaborative projects (innovation and standardization
working groups like IEC and IEA)
The identification of product improvements (algorithms, software and hardware) in relation with
applications
The support to marketing, sales and business development by bringing a high-level expertise on
measurement techniques and procedures.
The dissemination of results and experiences into scientific publications and during conferences
The development of scientific collaborations with key research laboratories and companies
The monitoring of market trends and new Lidar applications at a scientific level
VOTRE PROFIL
You are an experienced Engineer and/or PhD in measurement techniques and scientific applications in the wind
energy industry. Ideally you demonstrate a strong knowledge in Lidar technology. You have already participated
into several research and customer projects, and are recognized by the wind energy community for your excellent
scientific skills. With these skills you are passionate by contributing to further developing the application of wind
Lidars into the wind energy industry, would it be for instance wind resource assessment or Lidar-assisted turbine
control applications. You are rigorous and reliable in your achievements, and comfortable to evolve into
international projects as well as disseminating your knowledge internally and within the wind energy community.
