• Computer-pintable permanent identification sleeves D-SCE • Resistance to organic fluids, common fuels, lubricants and solvents Heat-shrinkable identification markers • 3:1 shrink ratio • Formulated for use in aerospace, rail and construction equipment D-SCE identification sleeves are suitable for applications where exposure to organic fluids, especially oils, is required for long periods at elevated temperatures. In addition to identification, D-SCE sleeves will provide strain relief, insulation, and protection from mechanical abuse. These sleeves meet the material and performance requirements SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/6, Class 1, and the mark permanence requirements of MIL-M-81531 and MIL-STD 202. Supplied in a thin, flat ‘ladder’ format, the sleeves are held horizontally between two hole-punched polyester strips. This configuration feeds directly from the storage box into a Raychem recommended printer. Raychem recommended ribbons should always be used. D-SCE markers are packaged for both high-and low-volume users. The standard package is 1000 pieces per box but sleeves can also be ordered in larger pack sizes. The sleeves are available in diameters ranging from 0.094” (2.4 mm) to 1.500” (38 mm), with a 3:1 shrink ratio. Note: 38 mm is a 2:1 shrink ratio product. The variety of packaging and sizing options enables users to meet many marking applications. The 3:1 shrink ratio provides efficient inventory management because each sleeve size covers a wide range of wire diameters. Some types of neoprene insulation used in cable jackets contain additives that can migrate to the surface and discolour the polyolefin D-SCE sleeves.
