SNCF Réseau is carrying out a major operation to modernise the signal boxes at Paris Gare
de Lyon. This work is part of an overall programme to implement “railway control towers”
across the national rail network to simplify operation and improve performance. The new Gare
de Lyon control tower will also increase station capacity in the medium term and allow for future
increases in traffic, particularly for Transilien services.
As a result, no trains will depart from or arrive at the Paris Lyon and Bercy Bourgogne
Pays d’Auvergne stations from midnight on Friday 17 March 2017 until midnight on
Sunday 19 March 2017, except for RATP RER A services.
That weekend, TGV Lyria, TGV, INTERCITES and TER will implement a suitably reduced
transport plan.
There will be no TGV RENFE-SNCF cooperation, TGV France Italy, iDTGV Paris <> South
East region or IVR services.
It is suggested that Transilien customers postpone their trips or use the alternative transport
solutions provided (RER C, bus, iDVROOM car sharing service, etc.).
Departures/arrivals at Paris Gare de Lyon and Paris Bercy Bourgogne Pays d’Auvergne
will be relocated to other stations as follows:
