Le programme RénoRégion accorde une aide financière aux
propriétaires-occupants à revenu faible ou modeste et qui doivent
effectuer des travaux visant à corriger des défectuosités majeures que
présente leur résidence. Pour être admissible, le logement devra
nécessiter des travaux d’au moins 2 000 $ touchant la structure, la
plomberie, le chauffage, l’électricité, les murs extérieurs, la toiture ou
les ouvertures. Cette subvention peut atteindre 95 % du coût reconnu
pour la réalisation des travaux admissibles, sans toutefois dépasser
12 000 $. Le programme RénoRégion est administré par la Société

Financial assistance is available through the RenoRegion
program to occupant homeowners with low or modest
income who must repair major defects in their home. To be
eligible, the home must require work valued at a minimum of
$2000, with respect to the structure, plumbing, heating,
electricity, exterior walls, roof or windows. This grant may
reach up to 95% of the cost of the work that is eligible,
without however exceeding $12,000. This program is

Budget 2016 : L’heure du rattrapage
Le Budget 2016 a été adopté jeudi le 17 décembre par le conseil
municipal de Pontiac. Le budget prévoit une hausse de taxe de 2,87 %
notamment afin de faire face au déficit d’entretien des infrastructures
publiques. Ceci représente une augmentation de 48 $ sur le compte de
taxes d’une propriété évaluée à 200 000$. Un important réinvestissement
sera fait afin d’améliorer les conditions des chemins et des réseaux
d’aqueduc et d’égouts. Plus de détails ici :
2016 BUDGET: TIME TO CATCH UP
The 2016 budget was adopted by the Pontiac municipal
Council on December 17th. The budget provides a tax
increase of 2.87% in order to address the deficit in the
maintenance of public infrastructures. This represents a $ 48
increase on the tax bill of a property evaluated at $200,000. A
significant reinvestment will be made to improve the
conditions of our roads and of the water and sewer networks.

POLITIQUE FAMILIALE
Le conseil municipal souhaite favoriser l’accueil et l’épanouissement
des familles dans la municipalité tout en stimulant le développement du
sentiment d’appartenance, de solidarité et d’entraide. Les citoyens(nes)
de la municipalité de Pontiac qui désirent contribuer aux travaux sont
invités à une rencontre de type « focus-group » le 8 février prochain, à

FAMILY POLICY
The municipal Council wishes to promote the welcoming and
the fulfillment of families in the municipality, while fostering
a sense of belonging, solidarity and mutual support. Residents
of the municipality who wish to contribute to the process are
invited to a focus-group session on February 8th, at 6:30
p.m. at the Luskville Community Center. For further

CUISINE COLLECTIVE
La municipalité de Pontiac, en partenariat avec l’Alliance alimentaire
des Collines, vient tout juste de mettre sur pied une cuisine collective
située dans les locaux du centre communautaire de Luskville. Une
cuisine collective, c’est un petit groupe de personnes qui met en
commun temps, argent et compétences pour cuisiner de bons petits plats
économiques et sains. Venez cuisiner en groupe et repartez avec les
portions dont vous avez besoin à très faible coût. Pour toute question

COMMUNITY KITCHEN
The Municipality of Pontiac, in partnership with l’Alliance
alimentaire des Collines, has just implemented a community
kitchen group in the Luskville community center.
A
community kitchen is a small group of people that pool their
time, money and skills to cook tasty, healthy and economical
meals. Prepare your meals with the group and take home the
number of portions that you need, for very little cost. For

SNOW REMOVAL
We are working closely with the contractors in charge of snow
removal to improve the winter maintenance on our roads. Please
note that the Ministry of Transport is responsible for the
maintenance of the following roads: Lac-des-Loups, EardleyMasham, Egan and 148. You can report a problem to the MTQ at

LE CLUB DES PETITS-DÉJEUNERS DE L'ÉCOLE DE LA
VALLÉE-DES-VOYAGEURS
Le club des petits-déjeuners a un grand besoin de bénévoles pour
préparer et servir les petits-déjeuners aux élèves de l'immeuble
Notre-Dame-de-la-Joie. Si vous souhaitez vous impliquer et vous
êtes disponibles à partir de 6h30 le matin, ou si vous connaissez

ACTI-LEADER SENIOR
Sous la supervision de la coordination de Pontiac en forme et/ou
des agents de développement en saines habitudes de vie, l’actileader senior a les responsabilités suivantes :
• Élaborer et animer des activités physiques et en rapport à la saine
alimentation, dans un cadre sécuritaire pour les plus jeunes ;
• Respecter les consignes face à la gestion des lieux physiques ;
• Respecter la structure administrative et le code d’éthique ;
• Transmettre la philosophie de Pontiac en forme et communiquer
les retombées du programme à la coordination et/ou aux agents
de changements en saines habitudes de vie.
Exigences
• Doit être un étudiant âgé entre 14 et 17 ans ;
• Expérience en animation auprès des 0-17 ans est un atout ;
Conditions de travail
• Temps partiel
• Horaire variable (Ex. : après les classes, fins de semaine, semaine
de relâche, été)
• Endroit : quelques postes à combler à travers la région

ACTI-LEADER SENIOR
Under the supervision of Pontiac en forme coordinator and/or
Healthy Lifestyle Transformation Officers, the Acti-Leader Senior
will have these responsibilities:
• Develop and lead physical activities in association with healthy
eating habits for younger kids in a safe environment;
• Respect the rules for the management of physical spaces;
• Respect the administrative structure and the code of ethics;
• Share the philosophy of Pontiac en forme and communicate the
benefits of the program to various partners
Qualifications
• Must be a student between the ages of 14 and 17;
• Experience in animation of youth between the ages of 0-17 years
would be an asset;
Work Conditions
• Part-time employment
• Flexible work schedule (e.g. after classes, during weekends,
spring and summer breaks, etc.)
• Location: a few positions to be filled through the region

Family Winter Fun Weekend : January 29-30-31st
Friday, Jan 29th: Talent contest and the new show with Junkyard
Symphony at the Luskville Community Center, 6:30 pm. $2.
Saturday, Jan 30th :
• Ice fishing tournament at the end of Tremblay Rd. 8am – 4pm,
registration deadline: 10am. Participation/Prize/Draws: 4:30pm.
Adults $10/free for kids. Prizes: $250, $150, $50 and other door
prizes. Canteen, minnows and auger available on site.
• Special Activity, Groupe PMP 0-5 ans: childrens’ activities
(games, crafts, etc.) at Luskville Community Center 9am - 11am.
• Family Spaghetti supper and 50-50 draw (fundraiser for
grade 6 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Joie), music and dancing. $7
adults and $3 kids under 10, bar on site at the Luskville
Community Center.

• Family fun skate day, sliding, canteen, music, door prizes: 12pm3pm.

DANSE EN CERCLE pour adultes et aînés
La danse en cercle comprend des danses traditionnelles
folkloriques et des danses contemporaines au son de la musique classique, traditionnelle, moderne, amusante et méditative. Les
chorégraphies et la musique prennent leur source à travers le
Monde : Grèce, Roumanie, Israël, Bulgarie, Inde, Amérique du Sud
et Amérindienne. Aucune expérience de danse n’est nécessaire.
Explications bilingues.
Au gymnase de l’École Notre-Dame-de-la-Joie, de 18h45 à 21h.
Les 2e et 4e vendredis du mois : soit le 22 janvier, 12 et 26 février,
11 mars, 8 avril et 13 et 27 mai 2016.

CIRCLE DANCE for adults and seniors
Circle dancing is a mixture of traditional folk dances and
contemporary dances to music – traditional, classical, modern, fun
and meditative. The choreographies and music come from around
the World: Greece, Romania, Israel, Bulgaria, India, South America
and Native American. No dance experience is necessary.
Instructions will be bilingual.
In the school gymnasium, Notre-Dame-de-la–Joie from 6:45 p.m.
to 9 p.m. The 2nd and 4th Friday of the month: January 22nd,
February 12th and 26th , March 11th, April 8th , May 13th and 27th,
