Regulator / rectifier bracket ”A”: Make sure that the regulator / rectifier harness does not contact to the throttle body. 3 : Pass the regulator / rectifier harness between the bracket and frame. After the clamp has contacted to the projection on the bracket, tighten the bolt. 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft) Removal 1) Remove the front and rear seats. 2) Disconnect the battery (–) lead wire from the battery. 3) Disconnect the seat lock cable. 4) Remove the frame cover assemblies from the frame, and disconnect the rear turn signal light couplers. 5) Take out the fuel tank prop stay. 6) Remove the fuel tank mounting bolt and then lift and support the fuel tank with the prop stay. 7) Remove the left side under cowling. 8) Remove the drain hose from the left side under cowling. 9) Remove the air cleaner box mounting bolt. 10) Loosen the air cleaner box clamp screws. 11) Lift the air cleaner box upside. 12) Remove the regulator / rectifier with the bracket from the frame. 13) Disconnect the regulator / rectifier couplers. 14) Remove the regulator / rectifier from the bracket. 4 Installation Install the regulator / rectifier in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following points: Confirm the regulator / rectifier parts number and ID mark before installing. For 32800-47810-RX0 (made by Shindengen), use 2 pcs of Bolt included in the Rectifier set to install because height of the rectifier mounting is lower than the original one. Be sure to install it properly according to the illustration below. Tighten the regulator / rectifier nuts and the regulator / rectifier bracket bolts to the specified torque. Tightening torque Regulator / rectifier nut : 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft) Regulator / rectifier bracket bolt : 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft) OR 1. Regulator / rectifier 3. 2. Regulator / rectifier nut 4: Regulator / rectifier bracket bolt Regulator/rectifier mounting bolts are included in the packing box. : 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft) Make sure that the lead wire is fixed with a clamp securely. (if equipped) Make sure that all of the removed parts and tightening bolts are fitted securely after reassembling. Set the clock to the current time. (if equipped) After starting the engine, check the engine rpm and engine operating sound. Inspect all of the lighting operation. 5
