Book Practices & Textual Itineraries Style Sheet
I. Document format / Format du document
English : Articles submitted to Book Practices & Textual Itineraries should be on standard A4
sized paper, in Times New Roman 12 font and double-spaced (with the exception of quotes
that are set off from the body of the text). Two versions of each article should be submitted,
one containing the author’s name, followed by his or her institutional affiliation and the title
of the article, the second (for blind review) containing only the title of the article (see the
series’ submission guidelines). This information should be followed by a brief abstract (about
150 words).

doivent être imprimés sur papier standard A4, police Times New Roman 12, espace double
(à l’exception des citations qui doivent être détachées du corps de texte). Les auteurs
doivent envoyer deux versions de leur article : une où ils doivent faire figurer leur nom,
affiliation universitaire, titre de l’article; le deuxième exemplaire (qui sera lu de façon
anonyme par le comité scientifique) ne doit comporter que le titre de l’article (voir la feuille
de style de la collection). Cette information sera suivie d’un court résumé (environ 150
mots).
II. Quotations and punctuation / Citations et ponctuation
English : References to works cited should be given parenthetically, in the body of the text,
following MLA conventions on this point. Footnotes should be reserved for commentary and
more detailed bibliographic information.
British punctuation conventions should be followed (single quotes, punctuation outside
quotation marks, etc). Superscript footnote references should be placed within punctuation
marks and should use a continuous numbering for the entire article.
Français : Les références aux ouvrages cités seront placées entre parenthèses dans le corps
du texte, selon les pratiques du MLA. Les notes de bas de page seront utilisées uniquement
pour les commentaires et les informations bibliographiques détaillées. La numérotation des
notes de bas de page se fait en continu à l’intérieur de l’article. Les appels de notes, en
chiffres arabes, sont placés à l’intérieur des signes de ponctuation.

III. Works Cited / Liste des ouvrages cités
English : Place only references to works that you have cited or mentioned as being
particularly important to the subject of the article in the list of works cited. Introduce this list
with the mention ‘Works Cited’ and present it as follows:

sources particulièrement importantes pour le sujet de l’article doivent figurer dans la liste
