Cycle : «Les acteurs français dans le
cinéma italien»
Wednesday 3rd of May: Launching of the New theme “French actors
in Italian cinema” .
La France et l’Italie sont deux pays voisins qui ont un héritage commun
sur les plans linguistiques et culturels. Ce sont deux grands pays de
cinéma. Beaucoup d’acteurs italiens sont connus en France et
réciproquement. Il nous a semblé naturelle d’en faire la démonstration
à travers le cycle du mois de mai : « Les acteurs français dans le
cinéma italien ».
Mercredi 3 mai : lancement du nouveau cycle “Les acteurs français
dans le cinéma italien”.
France and Italy are two neighboring countries with a common linguistic
and cultural heritage. They are two great nations of cinema. Many
Italian actors are well known in France and vise and versa. For the
month of May, it seemed natural for us to highlight this special link
through the series of films “French actors in Italian cinema”.

Salvatore, metteur en scène reconnu, revient en
Sicile après 30 ans d’absence. Ce retour aux
sources marque le début d’un long voyage intérieur
dans ses mémoires d’enfant et de jeune homme,
et la découverte en particulier de l’origine de son
amour pour le cinéma.
Un fim sur le cinéma et la magie de ce “septième
art”, marqué par la performance remarquable de l’acteur français
Philippe Noiret. Il a reçu un Oscar en 1989.

Salvatore, a very famous film director comes back to sicily after 30
years of absence. It is the beginning of a long journey back to the
memories of his childhood and youth, but especially discovering of the
origins for his love for cinema.
A film on cinema and on the magic of the so called “seventh art”
featuring a great performance of the French actor Philippe Noiret.

Ce film raconte la rencontre extraordinaire entre
un postier ordinaire et le fameux poète Pablo
Neruda, qui change leur vie à tous les deux d’une
façon définitive. Tourné dans les paysages
superbes du Sud de l’Italie, ce film tout en nuances
décrit l’importance de l’amitié et de l’amour, au
delà des distances et des différences sociales.
Il s’agit du dernier film du fameux réalisateur italien Massimo Troisi
et constitue une autre performance remarquable de l’acteur français
Philippe Noiret.

Located in the wonderful landscapes of the South of Italy.
A delicate film showing the importance of friendship and love beyond
distance and differences.
The last film of the famous Italian actor Massimo Troisi and another
fanatastic performance by the French actor Philippe Noiret.
Le jardin des Finzi Contini - Mis en scène par

Ce film retrace l’histoire des Finzi Contini, une
famille juive de Ferrare, qui lutte pour sa survie
dans le contexte de lois xénophobes imposées
par le régime fasciste au pouvoir et la première
guerre mondiale qui s’annonce.
C’est une fresque historique sur les problèmes
sociaux causés par le racisme et l’histoire d’un
amour menacé par l’avènement de la guerre. Ce film avec la belle
Dominique Sanda a remporté un Oscar en 1971.

The story of Finzi Contini, a Jewish family living in the city of Ferrara
struggling to survive vis-a-vis the racial laws imposed by Fascism
and the upcoming WWII.
A historical tale about the social problems related to racism and a
romantic love story on the brink of a big catastrophic war.
This film with Dominique Sanda won the Oscar prize in 1971.

soixantes, à la recherche d’une vie meilleure.
Ce film relate la difficulté des conditions de vie
dans
les
grandes
villes et
leurs
conséquences sur la vie de ces immigrés, qui
les mènent à l’implosion de la cellule familiale
et de ses valeurs morales. Ce film est servi par
la performance remarquable du fameux acteur français Alain Delon.

raconte l’histoire d’une famille d’aristocrates qui

de sa position sociale. Ce chef d’oeuvre de
l’histoire du cinéma est servi par les prestations
éblouissantes de ses principaux acteurs dont
Alain Delon.
