The Authors
Marie Aubinais
Former editor of Pomme d’Api magazine, then editor-in-chief of ‘1001 histoires’ (Fleurus Presse),
Marie Aubinais has been writing the stories of Little Brown Bear for more than 20 years.
‘When Pomme d’Api asked me to create Little Brown Bear for a mini-book in 1975, the character
existed already in my own family: my little boy.’ Danièle Bour lives in the country in Haute-Marne
where she continues to breathe life into Little Brown Bear every month for the magazine Pomme
d’Api. She has also published books by Grasset, Gallimard, Hachette.
Laura Bour was born in 1964 in Chaumont, Haute-Marne. She learned drawing and illustration
with her mother, Danièle Bour. Her work has been published by Gallimard, Lito and Actes Sud.
She is also a sculptor and from time to time, she lends her brushes to Little Brown Bear, her
childhood friend.

Xavier Deneux lives and works in Paris. After going to Art School in Paris and graduating from the ESAG, he worked as a graphic designer making posters and decors. Today,

The authors
Mr Tan (Antoine Dole) and Mortelle Adèle go back a long way. Mr Tan imagined this
heroine when he was only fourteen! More than the scenario, he dreamed the character
of Adèle, shaped her personality, and was first ever to draw her face in his school jotters.
Today, he shares this zany adventure with illustrator Diane Le Feyer. They do lots of
signing sessions all over France, opportunities for Mr Tan to tell curious fans what goes
on behind the scenes of the series and to draw his heroine, to the immense joy of his
readers!
Mr Tan
Diane Feyer is the illustrator of Mortal Adele.
She started in the video game and cartoon before turning to children’s books in France
and abroad.
She worked with Hallmark, Harper and Collins, Mabel, Bayard Scholastic, Igloo Books,
Five Mile ...
She joined the adventure Mortal Adele in 2014, becoming the illustrator of the series,
after the illustrations and the graphic universe of Miss Prickly.

‘I’ve been drawing for thirty years, even a little more. I still
draw every day with the same pleasure, perhaps even with
growing pleasure. I open my little pot of ink, dip in my little
pen, my bamboo, I pick up my pencil. Every day it’s the same
ritual, the same gestures, of which I never weary, and I say to
myself: ‘How lucky you are...’ Toto, he was the first apprenticeship of humour, he plays a social role, of initiation and

This early-learning game, for iPhone and iPad, is aimed at children between 4 and
7 years old. Nasty king Marthial the 1st, challenges SamSam:
to prove that he is a real cosmic hero, SamSam must succeed in catching him.
To do so, SamSam must first of all use a catapult to strike down all the Marthian
soldiers in a limited time span and a maximum of 10 trials.
The game has different and increasingly difficult levels.

Le surlendemain, c’est Charlie qui voulait à tout prix
sortir les poubelles. Deux jours après, c’était Geneviève.
Quelle mouche les piquait toutes ? Ce soir, j’ai voulu
savoir. En me cachant entre les arbres, j’ai suivi Bettina
(trois fois de poubelles cette semaine !). Elle est arrivée
à la grille, en même temps que le camion de ramassage.
Un des éboueurs a sauté du marchepied.
La Vill’Hervé, notre maison, se trouve au bout du bout. Au bout d’une allée, au bout de la falaise. Son adresse :
impasse de l’Atlantique. Les copains qui viennent nous voir s’exclament toujours : « Waoow ! Super romantico ! ».
Mouais. Sauf un truc pas du tout romantico : les poubelles. Avant le passage des éboueurs, la sœur qui est de
poubelles doit remonter toute l’allée jusqu’à la route avec les sacs.
Avec son petit diamant à l’oreille gauche, ses nattes
tressées de perles, son tatouage sur le bras, il était
renversant ! Top Hollywood ! On aurait dit Donny
Jepp dans Corsaires des Antilles ! Je le dévorais des yeux.
Bettina aussi. Elle avait son sourire idiot, les joues
rouges, et un sac-poubelle dans chaque main.
« Bonsoir ! », a dit Donny Jepp avec un sourire
Califragilistik ! « B… b…’soir ! », a bredouillé ma
sœur. Elle l’a regardé emporter les sacs comme si
c’était le trésor maya.
C’est lourd. Des fois ça se déchire. Pour le romantico, on repassera ! On ne se précipite jamais pour la corvée.
Sauf ce soir ! Ce soir, Bettina a quitté le canapé pour claironner : « Je suis de poubelles ! » On l’a fixée avec des
yeux soupçonneux. Elle qui ne veut jamais y aller. En plus… c’était déjà son tour avant-hier soir ! Elle a siffloté,
s’est arrangé les cheveux, la jupe, et elle est sortie.
« À demain ! », il a dit, tandis que le camion s’éloignait. Bettina est restée immobile, son poing posé sur le cœur,
un air comme un nuage qui se sent léger. Je n’ai pas osé me montrer. Vite, j’ai remonté l’allée avant elle. Voilà.
Mes quatre sœurs se trimballaient les poubelles juste pour voir un sosie de Donny Jepp leur dire « Bonsoir ! » et
« À demain ! ». Qui a dit que la corvée de poubelles, ce n’était pas romantico ?

Reste Geneviève… À quatre pattes sur le parquet du salon, elle me voit et hurle : « STOP ! Pas avec tes godasses
pourries ! J’ai tout ciré à cause de la vieille ourse ! » Espoir ultime… Basile. L’amoureux de Charlie. Forcément
dans la cuisine. J’ouvre à peine, qu’il fait : « Chhuut ! » Et désigne le gâteau à trois étages qu’il confectionne…
Motus et silence, please : chef-d’œuvre !
Démarrer la journée avec tante Lucrèce au téléphone… Dur !… Je raccroche... Sois zen, Enid. Tu as du boulot.
Quatre sœurs, ça multiplie par quatre n’importe quel travail d’information. Prévenir, ici, c’est tout répéter au
moins huit fois... Et encore, quand on n’a pas de visiteurs ! On peut aussi brailler l’info au hasard... Mais notre

Ce dimanche donc, je commence par Charlie,
qui coud là-haut. J’ouvre sa chambre : « Hé, ho !
j’ai un truc à dire... » Elle me coupe net : « Ah
non ! ».
Tant pis. Je m’isole dans un coin, Ingrid et Roberto sur les épaules. OK, ce n’est pas leurs oignons de chats...
mais je DOIS le dire à quelqu’un ! Alors je leur annonce : « Tante Lucrèce a une gastro, elle ne viendra pas ce soir,
elle a décommandé ! » Puis je souris. Pour une fois Charlie portera une robe. Pour une fois la maison fleurie,
propre, astiquée, n’aura pas l’air de l’estomac d’une chèvre. Et on bouffera autre chose que les lasagnes d’HyperPromo. Les chats aussi sourient.
Elle en a déjà assez de reboucher l’accroc d’une jupe qu’elle ne
met jamais sauf les soirs, comme ce soir, où tante Lucrèce,
cette vieille corneille, vient nous casser les pieds à dîner ! Je
bats en retraite.
