Multichoice DVB S2 Migration
24 June 2013
Multichoice will be migrating the following 3 transponders from DVB S to DVB/S2 in July:
Transponder 17K - 11,554 MHz (Vertical)
Transponder 16K - 11,514MHz (Horizontal)
Transponder 18K - 11,554 MHz (Horizontal)
The proposed date for the switch-over is set for the 1 July at 00:01.
Please note, this migration will affect HDPVR decoders and action will be required in SMATV
installations only (Single Cable). No Head-end settings or hardware required, the only action
required, is to update 2 existing network settings in the HDPVR menu. Single decoders
require no action.
*No action required at domestic or Multi-switch installations. There may be a possibility that
HDPVR decoders will require a re-boot, or a flash reset, if affected HD channels do not
display.
After the migration, the following 4 HD channels will not display until the network settings are
updated:

No pre-emptive action can be done; settings can only be changed once the migration has
been effected by Multichoice.

Settings for DStv HD decoders on IF conversion systems from 2013/07/01
1. On your remote control press the [MENU] button.
2. Select [Advanced Options] and press [OK] on your remote.
3. Enter PIN 9-9-4-9.
4. Select [Network Set-up] and press [OK] on your remote.
5. Set-up Home Network with the following settings:

7. Once you have entered settings as above, press [OK] to save.
8. Select [Network Set-up] and press [OK] on your remote.
9. Press the [Yellow] button on your remote, to scan all enabled networks.
Once scanning is complete, your decoder is ready to be used.
