STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The personnel contract between the County and UGA Extension expires June 30, 2014. The contract
is renewed every 12 months. The contract requires the County to be billed monthly for the actual
salary, ORP Retirement and SS/Med of one County Extension Agent for the period of July 1, 2014June 30, 2015. The salary and benefit billed monthly to the County is $1168.92 with an annual cost
of $14, 027.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Approve the personnel contract for the County Extension Agent
2. Reject the contract and renegotiate the terms
RECOMMENDATION:

contract will expire on June 30, 2014. Attached you will find a complete budget sheet with the
current salary, new benefit rate amounts, and billing address that was listed last year. If an
increase in salary is given you will need to revise the salary and refigure the benefits. The
budget numbers need to be rounded up. Make sure that the contact person and email
address is listed this year. If the billing address has changed you will also need to update. If
no changes are being made you need to have the contract signed, list title of authorized
