Concept :
The RM 880 is defined as a small and efficient cruising boat able to sail everywhere until the
shore: Island, beaches, rivers, creek... the 1.25m draft, tween keel give you the possibilty to
reach pieces of paradise...
For this our designer, Marc LOMBARD, drew a good looking design inspired from Open 60’ for
the hull shape, and from the RM 1200 for the roof. The RM 880 is a smily boat who keeps all the
marine capabilities from the RM brand: strong, stiff, fast and able to bring you over seas.
Principals caracteristics:
The RM 880 designed in 2006, knows a fast growing succes. Our small RM waited for a long
time is already a reference. This is thanks to all her serious assets she has:
- Built in plywood with chine: strong, stiff, light, with long longevity, ecologic and good
insulation.
- Efficient rig plan with stay sail possibilty.
- Tween-keel: route stability, upwind performance, dry anchorage, reduced draft.
- Full water line beam: downwind performances, inside large volume.
- Forward vision from interior: inside luminosity, exeptional living space: Security at sea
and confort.
- Inside design clear and comfortable: many portholes, light wood, clear colors.
Inside Installation:
The RM 880 inside installation plan is a result of long studies to optimise life in the harbor, but
moreover at sea! It is caracterise by:
- A large living area between the chart table and the kitchen: very clear, and giving a 180°
forward vision, called panoramic view.
- An ergonomic chart table easy to use.
- A large galley, very long for this size of boat.
- A large saloon equiped able to receive 6 to 8 people.
- 2 cabins with large dimension
- A real bathroom with a real marine toilet.
- And always the technical room, able to store every equipment.
