Vivactis Healthcare through Business Solutions sprl - for the LSMD/HMWD magazine - takes the protection
of private data seriously.
Business solutions sprl and its divisions comply with Belgian and EU legislation with regard to protection of
personal data and privacy; the LSMD/HMWD (www.lsmd.be - www.hmwd.be) Websites and other websites
owned by Business solutions sprl and its divisions are therefore designed and managed in accordance with
said legislation.
When processing personal data, consideration for privacy is of the utmost concern to us. Personal data is
used in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Law; The operators of this newsstand are
committed to discretion. The user may access external websites through links from this newsstand, in which
case the following privacy policy does not apply;
1. Collection and usage of personal data
Personal data is data which can be used to uniquely identify or contact a particular person. Personal data
is information that can be used to identify you. This includes such information as your name, email address,
postal address or telephone number.
We collect, store and process the personal data which you enter only where it is necessary for the handling
of enquiries or orders. To facilitate this, certain circumstances may require an exchange of your data with
third parties involved in order processing. No additional personal data is recorded unless such details are
specifically made available by you in the course of registration. We treat your data responsibly and in
accordance with legal requirements at all times.
With the exception of those third parties involved in processing orders, your personal data will not be

products and offers which may be of interest to you.
2. Collection and usage of user-related data
User-related data which arises during the use of the LSMD- HMWD website is deleted immediately once
access to the website ends. This does not occur where the user has customised their usage of the website.
Information gained from customisation of the newsstand may be evaluated to determine the interests and
needs of the user and make available appropriate information.
Personal data cannot be traced through user-related data.
It is important to note that we collect, store and pass on user data in the course of newsstand operations.
By registering with this newsstand, the user declares that he or she agrees to Vivactis Healthcare –
Business Solutions’ LSMD/HMWD, saving and using data.
3. Collection and processing of usage-related data
Every web server automatically registers access to its websites.
For reasons of system security, for each visit to this newsstand our web server temporarily records the
domain name or IP address of the inquiring computer as well as the access date, file name and the URL
which was accessed, the HTTP response code and the website from which you accessed us, as well as the
bytes transferred during the session. This information is stored anonymously. It is impossible to identify you
or your individual behaviour.
We retain this usage-related data to identify trends and to generate statistics. The stored data can also be
used in identifying and tracking improper access attempts on our web server.
We only create anonymous profile information on usage of our websites and only in the interests of
improving navigation and optimising features for user interest. We do not generate personal browsing
profiles or anything of the like.
4. Collection and processing of non-personal data
We additionally collect non-personal data in a form which never allows it to be directly related to an
individual. Non-personal data may be collected, used, passed on and disclosed for any purpose. This data
may relate to profession, language, post code, area code, individual device identification features, as well
as the locations and time zones where our product is used so we may better understand our customers’
behaviour and improve our products, services and advertising.
We also collect data relating to customer activity on our website, in the iTunes store and for our other
products and services. This data is cross-referenced to allow us to provide our customers with more useful
information and to understand which parts of our websites, products and services are most interesting to
our customers. The cross-referenced data counts as non-personal data in the context of this privacy policy.
5. Users’ declaration of consent
By logging on to this newsstand the user agrees to the collection, storage and transmission of user-related
data for the implementation of LSMD -HMWD for the duration of usage of said services. The user also
agrees to receive information from LSMD/HMWD. The user can revoke this agreement or veto the future
usage of data at any time with immediate effect by sending an email to [email protected] or support@
hmwd.be Where legally permissible, LSMD/HMWD can evaluate usage profiles for the purposes of
improving LSMD/HMWD services, for market research and for advertising purposes, insofar as the user has
not vetoed such use of his or her data.
6. Cookies
LSMD/HMWD stores the user’s IP address during usage, and for the duration of usage. The user agrees
to this temporary storage. Usage of LSMD/HMWD services sometimes requires the use of cookies. These
are small quantities of data which are transferred to the user’s hard drive through an internet browser or
other program. They can be used to store information about the user’s visit to the website. The user agrees
to the usage of cookies. Otherwise, the user has the option of configuring his or her web browser so that
cookies cannot be stored, or only stored with the user’s permission. This may cause problems in accessing
some LSMD/HMWD features.
LSMD – HMWD’s web presence includes links to external websites. LSMD/HMWD cannot influence how
other operators adhere to data protection regulations.
The user has the right to see saved personal data and settings for his or her user account at any time, and
to correct, amend or delete this data.
7. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics
uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer to facilitate analysis of usage of
the website. Information gathered by the cookie relating to your usage of this website (including your IP
address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google uses this information to evaluate your usage of the website, to generate reports on website
activities for the website operators and to provide other services relating to website and Internet usage.
Google may also pass this information on to third parties where legally permissible or where third parties
are charged with processing data on behalf of Google. Google never connects your IP address with other
Google Inc. data.

8. Monitoring and statistics tools
Google gives us valuable insights into use of our website and the impact of our marketing strategies. These

allows us to formulate our advertising in a targeted fashion and strengthen our marketing initiatives so that
we can design our strategies around the needs and wants of our users.
These tools run in the background of our website and also work with cookies. Evaluation of the data
provided by our users is naturally carried out anonymously, without using personal data, particularly names

9. Transmission of personal data to third parties
We only use your personal information for this website. We only give this information to third parties

processing, this is also bound by the Data Protection Law, other statutory regulations and, contractually, by
this privacy policy. Collection or transmission of personal data to government institutions and authorities is
only carried out where mandatory legal provisions apply.
10. Right of cancellation
Through your user profile you can amend any personal data you have submitted to us at any time. To
have your account completely deleted please contact the webmaster.
11. Data storage
Data related to your browsing behaviour is regularly updated. In the longer term only data which is
required for compiling historical analysis is retained. This data, however, cannot be traced back to you in
any way.
12. Opt-out
Vivactis Healthcare – Business Solutions and its employees are subject to communication secrecy in
accordance to the Belgium Telecommunications Law, and to the confidentiality stipulations of the Data
Protection Law. The mere fact of an exchange of messages is also subject to communications secrecy.
Routing and domain information must however be passed on.
The user declares agreement, regardless of any inclusion in the Belgium E-Commerce Law, to receive
emails or text messages with advertising content (including that related to products or services from third
parties) or information about new services from LSMD/HMWD or its affiliates, through regular electronic
newsletters and other means.
The user can revoke the declaration of consent provided in the previous paragraphs at any time – in whole
or in part – in writing and by providing a LSMD/HMWD user ID and password:

13. Liability
Vivactis Healthcare – Business Solutions’ LSMD/HMWD takes all reasonable steps to protect stored data,
so far as is technically feasible. If a third party manages to access and/or reutilise LSMD/HMWD stored
data by illegal means, LSMD/HMWD only bears responsibility for wilful actions or gross negligence. An
exception applies to consumer transactions: LSMD/HMWD is exempt from liability where LSMD/HMWD
or a person acting on behalf of LSMD/HMWD is to blame for damage to goods or assets through simple
negligence.
