ABSTRACT
In this paper, we take a pass view of the activities of the Order of Surveyors-Lebanon since it
was been established on June 1996 by the law 522/96 that indicates that the Order became
the only responsible for the organization of the profession of topography.
During this period, which is a very short one, the survival conflict of the Order was full of
very important stages from the legal, academic and professional sides.
We will try to give you a brief idea about those episodes that really resume the history and
the perspectives of the surveying profession in Lebanon .At the end we will conclude that any
profession especially the one of surveying, needs to organized and to have a unique
referential for it to be able to achieve its role as it should be done.
RESUME
Dans cette intervention, on va faire un passage sur les activités de l ’Ordre des GéomètresTopographes du Liban depuis la date de son établissement par la Loi 522/96 en juin 1996.
Cette Loi insiste sur le monopole du rôle de l ‘Ordre dans l’Organisation de la Profession du
Géomètre –Topographe.
Durant cette période, qui est en fait très courte, on a passé par des étapes très importantes au
niveau législatif, académique et professionnel. Ces épisodes qui résument l’Histoire de
l’Ordre et de la Profession elle-même avec ses perspectives et dérivées.
A la fin, on va remarquer la nécessité d’Organiser la Profession du topographe sur tous les
niveaux, vu la relation directe de ce métier avec la vie quotidienne des gens et leurs intérêts
en ce qui concerne la protection et l’aménagement de la propriété privée et foncière.
