TheCHAcreatedaTravelAssistanceFundtohelpsubsidizethetravelcostsofstudent/newscholar
presentersinneedattheAnnualGeneralMeetinginlightofthecancellationofSSHRC’sAidand
AttendanceGrantstoScholarlyAssociations(AAGSA).AswasthecasewithSSHRC’sgrant,theCHA
grantwillnotalwayscoverthefullamountrequested.Herearethetermsofreferenceofthetravel
assistancefund:
a)TheTreasurerisresponsibleforoverseeingthedistributionofthesefunds.
b)Onlytransportationcostswillbecoveredandonlyforthosemembersresidingmorethan300km
fromCALGARY.
c)TheCHAcannotpaythefulltransportationexpensesofqualifiedparticipants.Consequently,we
mustinsistthatallmembers,includinggraduatestudents,applyfirsttotheirowninstitutionortoany
otherorganizationforfunding.
d)OnlymembersingoodstandingoftheCHAwillbeconsideredforfinancialassistance.Fundingwill
beprovidedforonlythosememberspresentingapaperattheConferenceandwhoareregisteredfor
CongressandtheCHAAnnualMeeting.Also,graduatestudentsandsessionalfacultywillbegiven
priorityinthedistributionoffunds.Fundingisnotavailabletothosepresentingaposter.
e)ParticipantswhowishtobeconsideredforassistancefromtheCHAmustfillouttheTravelExpense
Claimformandreturnit,togetherwithyourpaper,totheCHAofficepriorto4:00p.m.onMay6,
2016.Ifyouaremakingaclaim,filloutthe“TravelExpenseform”assoonasyouhaveagoodestimate
ofyourtravelcosts.TheCHAdoesnotconsiderhotelsandotheraccommodationexpensestobe
travelcosts.
f)DecisionswillbecommunicatedbeforeMay20th2016andreimbursementcheckswillbehanded
outattheCHABusinessOfficeattheUniversityofCalgaryduringourAnnualConference.
g)Important:WewillconsideronlytheclaimsofthosewhosepaperhasbeenforwardedtotheCHA
[email protected]:00p.m.onMay6,2016.

LaSHCacrééunFondsd'aideaudéplacementpouraideràsubventionnerlesfraisdedéplacement
d’étudiantsoudenouveauxchercheurs-conférenciersdanslebesoinànotreassembléegénérale
annuellesuiteàl’éliminationduprogrammeAideetsubventionsdevoyageauxsociétéssavantes
(ASVSS)duCRSH.Commec’étaitlecasaveclasubventionduCRSH,lasubventiondelaSHCnepourra
malheureusementpasrembourserentièrementlesdépensesengagéesparlesmembres.Voiciles
termesderéférencedufondsd’aideaudéplacement:
a)Ladistributiondecesfondsaétéconfiéeautrésorier.
b)Seulslesfraisdedéplacementserontremboursésetseuleslespersonnesdemeurantàplusde300
kmdeCALGARYpourronts’enprévaloir.
c)LaSHCnes’engagepasàrembourserlatotalitédesfraisdedéplacementdesparticipants
admissibles.Enconséquence,nousdevonsinsistersurlefaitquetouslesparticipants,ycomprisles
étudiantsdiplômés,devraientd’abords’adresseràleurinstitutionouàtoutautreorganisme
subventionnaireafind’obtenirdesfondsdevoyage.
d)SeulslesmembresenrègledelaSHCserontadmissiblesàunesubvention.Seulslesmembresen
règleprésentantunecommunicationaucongrèsserontadmissiblesàcettesubvention.Deplus,vous
devezêtesinscritaucongrèsetàlaréunionannuelledelaSHCpourêtreéligible.Prioritésera
donnéeauxétudiantsdiplômésetauxprofesseursàcontrat.Ceuxetcellesquiprésententuneaffiche
nesontpaséligibles.
e)Lesparticipantsadmissiblesquisouhaitentbénéficierd’unesubventiondelaSHCdevrontremplir
lesformulairesappropriésetlesretourneràlaSociétéavant16h00le6mai2016.Leformulaire
«Demandederemboursementdefraisdedéplacement»peutêtreremplidèsquelesparticipants
ontuneidéedescoûtsquiserontencouruspourleurdéplacementàlaréunion.Prièredenoterquela
SHCneremboursepaslesfraisdelogement,quelsqu’ilssoient.
f)Lesdécisionsserontcommuniquéesavantle20mai2016etlechèquecorrespondantseraremisen
mainspropresaubureaudelaSHCdurantlaréunionannuelleàl’UniversitédeCalgary.
