IMPORTANT NOTICE
TO OWNERS OF HAWKING TECHNOLOGY INC.
WIRELESS ROUTERS - MODEL HWR54G
Industry Canada has determined that a local wireless service provider of a subscription high
speed internet and television service has been experiencing customer reception/connectivity
problems which can be attributed to the use of a computer related device described as a
Wireless Router, which is manufactured by Hawking Technology Inc. and bears Model No.
HWR54G (depicted below). This product does not comply with Industry Canada’s equipment
certification standards and thus should not be offered for sale to, or be used by consumers.
Industry Canada’s primary interest in this matter is to eliminate and prevent occurrences of
harmful interference. Industry Canada has been in contact with the manufacturer as well as
retailers who distribute the product in order to encourage a recall on this device. In the event
you have acquired one of these wireless routers, Industry Canada requests you disconnect the
unit and return it the retailer who sold you the product.

MODÈLE HWR54G DE HAWKING TECHNOLOGY INC.
Industrie Canada a appris que la clientèle d’un fournisseur local de services sans fil, assurant un
service de télévision et Internet haute vitesse sur abonnement, éprouvait des problèmes de
connexion et de réception attribuables à l’utilisation d’un périphérique branché à l’ordinateur, à
savoir un Routeur sans fil de modèle HWR54G (illustré ci-dessous) fabriqué par Hawking
Technology Inc. Ce produit ne satisfait pas aux normes de certification d’équipement d’Industrie
Canada et, par conséquent, ne doit pas être offert dans le commerce ou utilisé par les
consommateurs.
L’intervention d’Industrie Canada dans ce dossier s’explique par sa volonté d’éliminer et de
prévenir tous les cas de brouillage nuisible. Industrie Canada a communiqué avec le fabricant
ainsi qu’avec les détaillants pour les inviter à rappeler le produit. Si vous avez fait l’acquisition
d’un tel routeur sans fil, Industrie Canada vous demande de le débrancher et le reporter au
détaillant ou vous en avez fait l’acquisition.
