Messe au Parc Fish Creek
Le Conseil Paroissial vous encourage à mettre à
votre calendrier la toute première messe plein air
qui aura lieu au Parc Fish Creek le samedi 29 sept.
Les détails suivront, mais les membres du conseil
sont heureux d’organiser ce grand évènement. La
messe sera suivie d’une épluchette de blé d’inde.
Désormais - Messe le jeudi à 17h30
Comme prévue en juin, il y aura dès le
13 septembre le lancement d’un nouvel horaire de
messes! Pas de messe le matin puisque peu de gens
peuvent y assister; l’Eucharistie sera célébrée à
17h30 les jeudis.
Le Chinook intégrée à l’édition du Franco
À titre d’information: une édition spéciale du Franco couvrant
exclusivement les communautés de Calgary et du sud de la
province sera publiée chaque 3e jeudi du mois. La date de la
première parution est prévue le 20 septembre. Cette publication
sera intégrée à l’édition régulière du Franco.

Congrès de la foi
Pour les 18 à 99 ans… venez participer au 3e Congrès de la foi catholique à Edmonton du 1 au 3
novembre 2012. Dans le cadre de la thématique « Ensemble, bâtir un monde meilleur…un réveil
s’impose! » nous vous offrirons d’assister à trois conférences de Michèle Boulva, directrice de
l’Organisme catholique pour la vie et la famille ainsi qu’une quarantaine d’ateliers inspirants et
dynamiques pour parents, grands-parents, catéchètes, enseignants et enseignantes, pasteurs,
consacrés, jeunes adultes et bref, pour tous. De plus, un spectacle avec nos chorales locales,
Les Chant ’amis, Mélodie d’Amour et Clé y sera présenté. Nous vous attendons en grand nombre
puisque ce congrès n’a lieu qu’à tous les trois ans. Inscrivez-vous à partir du 4 juin à

Pèlerinage en Terre Sainte « Sur les pas de Jésus »

Découvrir les lieux de la Bible et toute la richesse de la Terre Sainte peut nous transformer!
Joignez-vous à notre groupe de pèlerins francophones pour vivre une expérience spirituelle et
culturelle inoubliable!
L’accompagnateur spirituel sera l’abbé Noël Farman, pasteur de la paroisse Ste-Famille à
Calgary. Le Père Farman est un prêtre du rite chaldéen. Il est né en Iraq et parle l’araméen,
l’arabe, le français et l’anglais. Il connait très bien le Moyen-Orient et nous apportera une
perspective unique sur le contexte des évangiles. Notre guide de voyage sera francophone et

Calgary Diocesan Country Fair
The Palio Saturday September 15, 2012
The Fair, will feature an open air Mass with Bishop Henry, the running of the
horses,
inter-parish
baseball
games,
entertainment and
children's

also contains information about corporate and individual sponsorships. Also,
individuals unable to attend the event can make tax deductible donations at the
parish level. Our planning for parking and catering will depend on the number
of attendees, so we would like advanced notice of ticket sales.
Centennial Pilgrimages
Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary invites everyone to participate during its
Centennial Year on the 1st and 2nd of a series of incredible Jubilee
Pilgrimages to Italy and the Holy Land. The highlight of the pilgrimage to the
Shrines of Italy will be the Canonization Mass of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha
along with six other Blessed Men and Woman celebrated by Pope Benedict
XVI. The Diocese has obtained 50 tickets for admission to the Canonization
Mass with the Holy Father on October 21, 2012. The second pilgrimage will
be to the Holy Land at Christmas, and will highlight Jesus Christ’s life here on

efforts to assist Syrian refugees fleeing Syria and to encourage peace efforts in

CNEWA - Canada, the Canadian Catholic Near East Welfare Association is
collecting funds to assist refugees fleeing Syria. Our Diocese is accepting
financial donations to assist Syrian refugee victims and all funds will be

Flooding in Manila, Philippines - The Diocese is accepting financial donations
for emergency relief efforts to assist victims affected by massive flooding in
Manila and surrounding areas in the Philippines. All monies collected will be
forwarded to the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace
(CCODP), which is working with local organizations on site to bring aid to flood
victims. To donate: send a cheque payable to your parish earmarked:
