CHATEAU DE PADIES
Explore a Garden "not quite like the others" worked on the permaculture system (ecological
agriculture), the Labyrinth following the contours of the land, the Kitchen Garden, the Wood,
art exhibitions, sculptures, the cool grotto ... See also the façades (listed as historical
monuments).
The first castle was built before the 1300s. It was burned during the Wars of Religion (1562
?1598), and restored in 1617. Today, the castle is an artists' residence in the heart of a
landscape project: labyrinth, garden, woods, orchard and biodiversity are in the spotlight!
Here, you can see strange, fantastic figures carved around the windows, and stroll through
the castle gardens, which are home to many art exhibits.
