New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet will go on sale in Greece from autumn 2003.
However, it will be possible to place orders via the Renault sales network before
the summer.
New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet allows each customer to specify his car “à la carte”
by choosing from among 2 trim levels (Authentique, Dynamique),
2 equipment levels (Confort, Sport) and 3 engines (2 petrol and 1 Diesel),
with manual or automatic transmission.
3 trim levels, 3 worlds
The coupé-cabriolet range is formed using Renault’s
across-the-range designations, in particular those of the
Mégane II range. The 3 equipment levels are known as
Confort, Sport and Luxe. The 3 trim levels are identified
as Authentique, Dynamique and Privilège. It should be
recalled that the idea of trim level is separate from that
of equipment level, this principle having proved successful
for the New Mégane range regarding the choice of personalization offered to the customer.
Each trim level is based on details of the exterior (door
handles, front and rear bumper protection strips, alloy
wheels or wheel trims) and of the interior (upholstery and
elements of interior trim) of the car. They divide in two
ways, associated with the two colour treatments of the
dashboard:
• carbon trim scheme for the Authentique and Dynamique
• beige trim scheme for the Privilège
With a dominant colour, deep carbon, the Authentique
trim level creates an air of sobriety. The Dynamique trim
level evokes technology and masculinity. Specific to New
Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet, it creates a strong contrast
between the dark carbon background and the touches
of light provided by the brushed aluminium console and
the satin chrome inserts. Finally, the Privilège trim level,
created around a beige background, is synonymous with
elegance and refinement.
New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet can be optionally provided
with any of four leather trim colours: beige leather,
synonymous with luxury, is associated with the Privilège
trim level, while the more sporting carbon, red and green
are reserved for the Dynamique level. As well as carrying
over 10 colours from New Mégane (Gris Boréal, Gris
Hologramme, Beige Angora, Rouge de feu, Vert Giverny,
Vert cuivré, Noir Nacré, Bleu Roy, Bleu Ottoman and
Rouge Vif), the Mégane II coupé-cabriolet also offers one
special metallic finish, Beige Poivre.
